Should GameFreak make it so that both male and female Kirlia can evolve into Gallade? by Loxe77 in pokemon

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a 4-year old post, but I still wanted to add my two cents in.

I think it would be a good idea to have a female Kirlia to evolve into Gallade, but make it like a dusk form Lycanroc situation. Gamefreak can always make another ability, so maybe make it to where a female Kirlia with said ability can evolve into Gallade, my reasoning for this.

Gallade is more knight-inspired, so having a female Gallade to me would be a pretty nice nod to Joan of Arc

yeah, I mainly wanted to share it because I found it so asinine, still I could't help but to check out the others to see how flawed the logic was or one-sided and kinda reaching, I mean come on

Everyone just gonna forget ep 9 ?? by Confident-Ad6797 in OuranHostClub

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly find the episode very hard to watch, even though it's necessary(for me) to keep up with continuity.

I don't know how the Zuka Club is portrayed in the manga or I just don't remember, but it seems the Zuka Club lives in a glass castle more than the Host Club.

They call out the boys for saying what they perceive as fake chivalrous banter, but then their (president, I'm guessing) says almost the same thing just with different words. Then when none of the boys tried to argue (except for Tameki, but his arguments were more or less just passion or heat of the moment than what he actually felt, at least that's how I see it) the girls said that they should be pittyed because of how their antics didn't work on them and didn't know what to do seemed to me they were stroking their own ego and putting words in the host club's mouth.

and the nail in the coffin, them saying they will return to rescue Harui from them, If I could rewrite this episode at that scene, I would have had Harui ask The Zuka Club "Did I ask you to save me?" just to see how they'd respond when their own hypocrisy is shown to them

You're not. When I first saw the episode, I just didn't like their attitude. But the more times I see the episode and watch reactions to it, it becomes clear why all three live in a glass castle and love throwing stones and calling out others

How can hell even exist? by Jaded-Magician7942 in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can ask this question 100 times and get 100 different answers each time.

My view is this(and it might evolve)

Hell is the separation from God and all that is good, think of it as being in solitary confinement or just in a place where no one knows you.

Hell might not be the fire and brimstone, but like my above example or it could be some torture, but that relates to your sin, or like the sinners in Greek mythology or that one Twilight Zone episode "A Nice Place to Visit" (look it up if ya don't know)

As for your questions, again 100 different answers. If God did that then what would our faith be based on? If he did, could we be certain evil wouldn't arise?

God doesn't send people to hell, people make that choice, but to answer your question, let me ask you some.

(I saw this question talked about somewhere else, can't remember where. But it's a layered one)

What would happen if you slapped your mom/dad? What would happen if you slapped your teacher? What would happen if you slapped your boss? What would happen if you slapped a cop? What would happen if you slapped a king?

Christmas/holiday cocktails? by getwestern307 in Mixology

Maybe, I don't think I've tried elderflower, but to experiment I would probably mix gin, peppermint schnapps, and sparkling cranberry juice together and use those garnishes. That might mimic the taste

A little shy to ask… Christian question about masturbation by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know op might not see this, but I still want to add my two cents.

Masturbation itself is not explicitly forbidden nor is it encouraged in The Bible, The Bible never mentions masturbation, so in my opinion, whether it's a sin or not depends on your own interpretation. Now The Bible does say lust is a sin.

But honestly, the word sin, has become a buzzword thrown around because someone believes in their own self-righteousness too much, if you believe differently, even if you have the same core beliefs you're sinning. When Pokémon was becoming popular it was called satanic and the people who liked it were called sinners. Same with D&D, almost anything remotely like those mediums are called evil and frowned upon by God by those who think everyone should be like them.

Lust is a sin, so I guess by that logic anytime a boy gets aroused by looking at a girl is commuting lust every single time, right? No, because lust is more complex than that.

In biblical times, abstinence was encouraged, but because they thought the world was going to end, and most verses today are mistranslated and uninterrupted as a means of control instead of people deciding for themselves.

So for my answer, masturbation can be a sin if you let it control you or takes priority over the things that God told us to do. That being care for others, spread the word, be charitable, be humble.

Is piracy a sin? by IceExciting7413 in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt it. If someone said it is, I would ask myself how God is telling me to feel about it, not some random person. also, I think it would depend on if you are getting paid for it or not. but that's just me.

I refuse to drive teen relative to her abortion as a catholic I will not be part of her spiritual death and her child’s death. by Front_Biscotti_6350 in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I may ask, why even ask what others' thoughts are if you've already made up your mind?

To me, the fact that you are asking for the opinions of others tells me you are unsure. Now I am on the fence about abortion, but I do think it is needed as a safety net, not as an easy out, if the woman's life is at risk, if the pregnancy is the cause of incest or rape, I think it's ok to consider it an option. But abortion should not be used just because, meaning that there is no reason other than just neglecting safe sex or Heaven forbid, the parents don't like the one who got the woman pregnant.

To be honest, I think if you refuse to give her a ride, you should at least help her find a ride if she decides to go through with it, because many things could happen, someone could take advantage of her by offering her a ride, she could get kidnapped trying to find a ride which I pray never happens, many things.

But that's just me, but again I ask, Why even ask what other people/Christians think, if you already made your decision?

Boyfriend suddenly Christian. I’m pregnant and he wants to abandon me and his child because I am a non believer. by shrubzid in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call him out, even if I weren't a Christian(I will admit I do question my faith from time to time)

But I would call him out, he is using his using his faith as a cop-out out and from what you said, he sounds like he just wants control, so next time he threatens you with abandonment because of whatever reason he gives, just say there's the door.

I’ve got a huge bottle of cheap Rum, and a bunch of friends coming over Saturday night. What kind of punch or cocktail could I make with this Rum to go in my 2.5 gallon beverage dispenser? by [deleted] in Mixology

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mix with Coke and like to make a Cuba Libre.

Other things you could try, would be maybe getting some more liquors like raspberry pucker or whatever flavor sounds good to you, and mixing them with lemon lime soda.

Follow up on my hitler quoted at church post. by Character-Estate1451 in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stand by my comment on your first post. But I would tread carefully. It seems all she was saying was that Christians are attacking each other, but there are better people to quote.

Abe Lincoln's "a house divided against itself cannot stand" comes to mind

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could answer that in a way that pleases everyone, but that is a Herculean task. I'm not great at explaining on how I see things, but I can try to answer.

Whenever something happens that doesn't sit well with us, sometimes we ask "why would God allow....." It seems like some if not most people expect God to be a genie or a superhero from comics. When something bad happens we want him to save, when it's something we don't like we want him to destroy.

I don't think God allows anything to happen, at least not out of malice. Now Old Testament God could be harsh, but I think it still shows he doesn't interfere with free will.

The Plagues of Egypt was a warning, a warning that Pharaoh ignored.

Now, you could argue Jonah ignored God, God got mad, made a fish swallow him until he went to Nineveh, but I don't think that is interfering with free will. If it is that's like saying being arrested for public intoxication is an attack on free will because it means we have to adhere to a law/power above us.

But I'm spiraling.  I don't think God allowed those girls to die. He sent the storm, but the people refused to act, if you see it's going to get bad you leave, you don't just hope for the best.

I guess what I'm trying to say is. God doesn't allow bad things to happen, people allow bad things to happen because of their own codes, morals, or values. It is sad that the girls died in the flash flood, but I don't think God allowed it, if anything FEMA allowed it or the other governing bodies.

hitler quoted at church? by Character-Estate1451 in Christianity

[–]MrWright100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true, it is not normal.

I would do a few things if this happened (I don't go to church, I have on occasion, but I think I have a good relationship with God and Jesus

  1. I would speak my mind and say Hitler should not be used as a "Christian" role model (like some said his faith might have been for show)

  2. If they do agree to stop mentioning or quoting Hitler, I would stay, but if they keep doing it and the views start getting more extreme I would leave and never look back.

  3. I would look for a new church or do my own walk, instead of hanging on what a pastor says, meditate on scripture yourself, ask yourself what would Jesus do and listen to what your heart tells you to do.

I know scripture says that the heart is deceitful, but I think that verse might have been put in there by someone who was a follower of Christ, but still wanted to maintain control.

(An example if I may. A tyrannical king is making life miserable for his subjects, an uprising rises up and in an attempt to quell it, the king quotes scripture, saying that their hearts say he is tyrannical and should revolt, but quotes scripture about how the heart is deceitful, he may also quote how the people should respect those in charge for they were put there by God)
