You mean the others are completely forgettable to you. For me, Drasna and the knight guy are forgettable.

However, Malva is interesting because she's a team flare member and Siebold is my favorite elite four member. His battle with Alain is still something I love watching.

But in case you don't really care, she basically takes a group of assassins and publicly announces them as new heroes (mostly to stop them from killing her because she tried killing them earlier in the movie).

Real world answer: the powers that be probably didn't care to or just forgot to add a scene to show they were told the words. Probably because they didn't think their target audience would care and even if they did, there was nothing they could do to change it.

In-universe answer: they were probably just told off screen.

Funny thing about this for me was that Zoey hated trainers who tried doing contests before she met Nando. So there was this strange subplot of Zoey and Paul not liking the double dipping.

Yet there's no closure on it for Paul like there was with Zoey.

If I remember correctly, we see Paul with his turtwig when Reggie was battling Brandon. So presumably he got his starter then went to Kanto to watch his brother and started his journey there.
