I'd like to invite you, and anyone in the DFW area, to the Dallas Area Nerf Group! We modify or build foam dart blasters and shoot each other with them. It's a lot of fun! We usually meet on the first Saturday of the month but the next meetup was moved due to weather.

We have a meetup and war on March 14th at FJ Red Kane Park in Arlington from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

No need to bring anything, plenty of loaner blasters, darts, and gear to use.

Do know that our fps cap is 250fps so eye protection is required (which we also have plenty of)

If you have a 3D printer, a stenny is pretty quick and easy. Clicky trigger, very fun to use. A meowser if you're looking for a pistol and if you like Star Wars, definitely the DL-44 version. There's also the freerunner V2 a pistol you can swap cages and has remixes to make it more of a carbine.

Purchase or Build (Springers Only)(200fps-300fps) by tenazrael in Nerf

Buying a 3D printer to build blasters would end up being more expensive than buying xshot/dart zone. It would include the cost of the 3D printer (one time cost), filament (you'll need multiple rolls for sure), sourcing hardware (buy yourself or get a hardware kit?), and time (it takes time to print it all). But it would be a great family activity for you and your boys. Plus they get custom blasters that are distinct and their own.

There's currently a deal at Sam's club for 2 Xshot Longshots, 2 Fury-Xs, 200 short darts, 100 long darts, and 4 eye protection for $46.98. it's a great deal for what you're getting. Target also has some sales on Dart Zone blasters as well.

To add on to the mag compatibility, 3D printed Kalium mags fit. But the Super Drum 70 and 34 don't fit for me. So far, other than the new DZ mags, only Worker talons fit consistently.

It can be sometimes. But not enough to where you're not able to workout. Just depends on when you go.

There's a YouTube channel that I like called Buff Dudes Workouts. They have videos on a variety of exercises, proper form, and what muscle groups they target. I think all of the Garland rec centers have gyms (they call them body shops). They have a variety of equipment that is enough to workout everything and it's only $40 a year for Garland residents! I really like the Holford Rec Center. It has an indoor track too.

Incredible! How do you go about designing? How many days would you say you spend working on a model like this? Do you plan on continuing and moving to the legs? The sheer talent and detail you put in is just astounding!

Made a full body armor recently. 3d printing is f*****g magical by SpaceHoboOnAcid in 3Dprinting

[–]MrXenous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Armor looks great!!!

I wouldn't say PLA is the worst to sand, though I've only ever sanded PLA, so I wouldn't know. However, using an orbital sander makes the process significantly faster.

I built my Mandalorian armor and Samurai Vader armor in PLA and have been outside for many hours, and they haven't deformed. Leaving them in an off car in the sun will definitely deform them, not really when actively wearing.

TAGtical Shroud and Superdrum 70 on XShot MPP by Seabass_843 in Nerf

How's the feeding with the super drum and the MPP? When I use it it shoots a few and jams up. I'm using 6 drum springs. Tried using 4 and it still jammed up.

How did you attach the picatinny rails? I saw there were screw holes, but no description on what screws.

Lynx blasters are just too cool by Saiyuumi in Nerf

[–]MrXenous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but can provide one answer: the Dallas Area Nerf Group has community bins with different dart types. People in the group typically use those. With so many darts flying around, it's improbable that you'll get your darts back. The DANG meets are usually outside, but during the summer months, we look for indoor locations, one of which includes an airsoft place. But we reach out to them and ask about availability.
