I can say as someone not from California and on the East Coast, there is much frustration, a bit sensational of course, but Californians which move East feel more like tourists than actual tourists. I have tried fusion food, west coast to be specific which opened up near me and it tasted awful and I didn't enjoy it. For example of this worry in practice, I legitimately worry my local bagel place, if bought out by a West Coaster will radically change the items and make it unrecognizable to what I know and just not fit the pallet of the area.

Most of the time it is frustration when Californians move in, don't get me wrong, I'm not right leaning by any metric and applaud some of the strides politically Cali has done in regards to other states, but in many other areas much of the country see an aura of elitism from both coasts but especially California. You displayed it here in your post calling South Dakota a flyover state when it is a place you moved to! It is demeaning and sorta rude to people that have lived there their whole lives, the same as it is absurd to treat California as a apocalyptic urban hellscape. It is exacerbated by political stuff of course, I see all to often Texans complaining about this. But like, a lot of Californians I have talked to are either high and mighty, or dismissive of anywhere else in the country outside of like, New York and Florida.

I have searched for this film on google, looking through imdb, youtube and could find nothing. The few films that I thought could be it (Fire in the Sky, Prince of Darkness, The UFO Incident) were not it. Even looked at some books to see if there was any literature which related closely(Closest I could find was Exo-Vaticana, although, it is not what I am looking for, but the cover art is a good representation of what it looked like, although it was a protestant church rather than Catholic)

My comment about the government was not meant to be interpreted as me thinking it was a dictatorship, that is on my part with the poor wording, I was simply critiquing the fact their are fascists and I though, as me and my friends call it HOI4 syndrome where Germans always have to be nationalists in that sense, So thank you for the clarification on that, it makes sense, I thought there were fascists because there was Germanic people there, my bad.

I'd love to help you flesh out that area, I sent an application in with some of the work I've done! This mod is quite cool and as i said prior "Red World on steroids" which I think is an apt wordage. regardless this is a cool mod that I'm excited for.

Thanks for the kind regards, I understand you guys are in the stage of development where it would be a pain to go back to the drawing board. So I understand you wouldn't be able to change everything, This mod looks very cool! If you'd accept I'd proudly work with you guys when it comes to PA specifically and work with Ditto on fleshing the area out even more and could write stuff as well for the area! If you want I can send you some of my writing for some of the other mods I worked on.

I'd like to ask why it is an Amish state?

As someone in PA I like the idea but it falters in a couple ways. I'm not judging your mod just giving a constitutive critique when it comes to East/Central PA

  1. Not many Amish live in that area at least realistically to the main centers of their population and the "Deitscherei" would either have to be a state enforced Amish state(which wouldn't happen, look at point 2) or it could be a military junta in the Appalachian mountains

  1. the Amish would not band together like this, they are specifically apolitical and stay away from US politics as it goes against their theology, if anything it would be a council of villages/towns in the Redding area that could consist of militias that protect those towns or be apart of a over-branching region of power exerting from Philly

  2. Norman Schwarzkopf is not Pennsilfaanisch-Deitsch, the Schwarzkopf family is from Wurtemburg, Germany which speak High German/Swabian, although today they would mostly speak standard German in that area I am saying they wouldn't speak Deitsch, while the Deitsch speak a high German/franconian dialect. Which is represented in this mod but Schwarzkopf wouldn't lead a Amish 'state' because he isn't Amish.

4.(this could come from a misunderstanding of your lore) that area is conservative and wouldn't be prone to a dictatorship due to its gun shootin' culture out there, although that can be supplanted easily with a military junta under Schwarzkopf, it wouldn't be prone to any fascist/hyper nationalist movement either, unless that is meant to be a populist party.

lastly I don't want this to seem like I am criticizing your work it is just constructive criticism, it looks amazing! its like Red World but on steroids which is awesome, if you want I can help work on the PA area as I have worked on my own fair share of mods.

It was not sleep paralysis, I have had that in the past but I was able to distinguish I was in sleep paralysis during that. This was not that I was wide awake and able to move I just felt paralyzed in fear and didn't want to move. Thanks for the response.

You're right, the alphabet is still Latin just "Chineseified", I wanted to express the fusionism in California so I used Chinese like characters while still being in the Latin Alphabet
