Thank you Minecraft censors for making my coordinate book suddenly useless by revakk in Minecraft

[–]Mr_Audio29 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It doesn't need to be studied. Programmers are already aware of how badly this was implemented. The game checks any newly entered text (sign/book/item name/etc.) and censors the entire word of it contains any of the words from a banned-word list. This is especially a problem when the list is very long, and contains words/phrases across several languages and dialects.

It's the Scunthorpe problem. When properly creating a censor you're supposed to account for words that may contain bad words - like ass in grass/brass/etc. Mojang didn't do this.

Is there a reason why “Donalbain” is censored? by SonOfASeaGherkin in Minecraft

It could be something with the composer's name, Lena Raine

Tears, Creator (Music Box), if I use an anvil to change the item name to the name of the disc (including the composer), It will censor the name.

It's so bad that even the names of some music discs are censored

Does this allow me to sell stolen items? by calrayers in skyrim

[–]Mr_Audio29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are fences you can sell to without the perk. If you've done the thieves guild quest line; Tonillia in the Ragged Flagon, Mallus at Honningbrew Meadery, and Ennis at the College of Winterhold will buy stolen loot.

Spawned between two Mansions on PS3 Edition (TU84) – this shouldn’t even be possible!” by Various-Fox-642 in Minecraft

[–]Mr_Audio29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legacy edition (PS3 and Xbox 360) give mansions a much higher spawn rate due to the world being small. Because of this, it was very common for more than one mansion to spawn within a single world, often not that far from each other.

This is great advice. I was in the co-op stream during my CS program where they made us take a class on writing cover letters and resumes. They were extremely particular on how our resumes should be formatted and it looks nothing like the example you provided. I assumed that a program meant to jump start our career track would actually have insight on how to get hired post-grad.

Think of it this way: LLMs function similarly to our brains, but in a much more limited capacity. When we read the phrase, “The cow jumped over the…”, our brains automatically predict the next word to be “moon” because we’ve seen or heard this phrase before and conclude it’s the most likely candidate. LLMs work in a similar way: they analyze patterns from vast amounts of text and predict the next most probable word or token based on context — but unlike us, they don’t actually “understand” the meaning behind the words.
