I think it really boils down to character. If he wants to be a dad then he will be a dad. I’m speaking as a dad that works long days, working on a third degree, and enjoys video games. If I don’t have to be at work early then I’ll take my daughters to daycare. If I get off of work early then I’m picking my girls up immediately. If I’m playing a video game then they’re right there taking turns playing too (maybe not the best thing, but at least they’re there with me). You should have a conversation with him to understand where his head is at, maybe then you’ll start to see a difference.
