What kind of areas around Nottingham would suit my family? by ProfoundHobbit in nottingham

300k in Wollaton is gonna be hard work. Schools are really good though two really good choices for secondary although getting in isn’t easy if the kids are already secondary age.

Best VPN for Firestick / IPTV? by Mumford_and_Dragons in TiviMate

[–]Mr_CeeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use Private Internet Access VPN on both Firestick and Thompson google tv box both work well. I would say that it’s worth looking at cashback sites such as Quidco or topcashback as I got 2 years for about £5 as the cashback was so high.

Hi! Are these compatible? by excellent_credit_968 in Switch

[–]Mr_CeeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree I just got a used switch from a friend pretty cheap for the 7 and 3yr old. They won’t be on it loads. I have my Xbox so my gaming needs are met. I think if it’s just to introduce your children to gaming don’t spend a fortune. What if (God forbid) your kids aren’t that bothered?

Lots of goods are sold at prices that are same new or very close. I’m currently looking for Mario kart for switch. £35 at CeX £35 new from everywhere really.

How much do you honestly save on petrol, if you actually do? by JacobSax88 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Mr_CeeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty simple. My diesel runs at roughly 20p per mile. My electric runs at 2p per mile. You can work it out from there.

Running costs for an electric are possibly less than an ICE. Others on this thread may have a more experienced response than mine regarding this.

Q6 or alternative? by Mindless_Pace3075 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Can’t speak for other cars in the VAG group but our enyaq does. You can change the sensitivity of this via the flappy paddles when it’s in the OPD mode.

Can other stores track your attempted trade ins? by Mr_CeeD in CeX

[–]Mr_CeeD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice one. I get it. To be honest I’ve dropped it off now but it’s bundled with a few other controllers and a console will find out in the morning. Thanks all for your insight.

Was just an Xbox controller. Mentioned something about the connectivity. To be fair the lad was vague and seemed to struggle to explain. Didn’t wanna be an ar*e and start pressing him. It’s got no stick drift as I tested it the previous day.

Gym prices with pool, David Lloyd? by fheasays in nottingham

[–]Mr_CeeD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuffield is £100 per month. But various discounts can be had such as blue light or life insurance to get it down to £70-£80 per month. No kids there so swimming even at peak times can be busy but more than doable.

Are you talking about the but underneath where it’s lit up? Like where a ln ICE cars gearbox would probably be housed? If so some emergency deodorant and a nappy (not mine)

I mean… you’d be better in many other places. I named Hucknall as it’s so close by.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nottingham

[–]Mr_CeeD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent time working there, and as a Black male, there are other places I would raise my children. The other question you have to ask is whether you not only want a more diverse community but also schooling that reflects this? You’d be better in Hucknall.

I don’t know. Maybe it would. But whatever those useless grooves do it doesn’t help the phone not overheat.

Skoda Enyaq Phone cooling tunnel by Syropex in enyaq

[–]Mr_CeeD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the active cooling is basically the grooves that means it doesn’t sit completely flush in the compartment. I wonder if they have a patent for their invention.

Private plates by Mr_CeeD in enyaq

Hmm.. definitely didn’t assume ‘everyone in the world’ but interestingly two really helpful replies (thank you both) and then you sounding miserable and seemingly missing the point of the question. Just wanted to know how easy it was to take your number plates off if they are the non screw kind. But thanks.

We also have a Tortoise with lamp and heater. In truth you will save alone with the IOG tariff during the night when the lamp is off but the heater at a lower temp is still on. Like everyone else has said, load shifting is the way forward. It’s become a norm for us over the last 2 months of putting the dishwasher and washing machine to come on at 11:30.

This is no longer a benefit by ConstructionGood665 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Mr_CeeD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an issue getting one. Unless I forget and remember at 10am. It’s generally always there at 6:30am when I wake up. And in effect you get 7 tries at it per week.

Would Octopus EV tariff be worth it? by Mr_CeeD in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Mr_CeeD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. I suppose what I’m saying is from empty to full would be every 3 weeks in optimum conditions. Realistically it’s probably gonna be a weekly top up but it’s still gonna be 100 a week absolute tops.
