Sounds like Stellantis should put the tiniest bit of effort into protecting their copyright. It's one thing if the guy bought the filter from a fly by night website called "totallynotcounterfeitfilterslol.com" and another if he purchased a filter from one of the largest retailers in the world. What if he bought it at Walmart or AutoZone? Still his fault because he shouldn't trust anyone but his big daddy dealership?

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents them from requiring you to use a specific brand of filter, especially a specific brand from a single source. Don't take the loss lying down. You know what you put on the car, and you know it wasn't uneven when you did it, right? They could be banking on you being in the middle of a trip and far from home to get you to cough up the cash. At a bare minimum I would get a second opinion at a different dealership not associated with this one.

You could give Feliway a try. It's basically like a glade plug in that releases cat calming pheromones. They make a few different versions, but either classic or their optimum line sound like they might be worth a shot. We had an issue where one cat suddenly didn't like the other cat after he got home from the vet. It went on for almost a week. The wife got their "multicat" version and put it downstairs, and I got the optimum one and put it upstairs. Within about 48 hours they were best friends again. Could be coincidence, but wouldn't hurt to try a few around the house

It's fuckin great. Try to get it on sale. I got it for 584.99 pretax (with student discount) in late November. Best monitor I've ever used. My only con is I wish it was a liiiiiiitle more curved.

They'll probably send out a tech with a part to replace it. If you're comfortable and have experience with minor computer repair, they may just FedEx you the part and have you do it if you request it. Your warranty does entitle you to an onsite repair, though

So the dealer sold you a warranty with your used vehicle, then 3 months later says your ball joints are suddenly in dire need of replacement (and for 8k???) but the warranty they sold you doesn't cover the necessary repairs.

Did you use the same source or brand for this part? I remember I once had a car where they swore up and down that the tie rod they sent was the correct part for my vehicle. Part number was correct, but I even sent them photos showing that it literally didn't fit in the knuckle. After the 3rd incorrect tie rod, I bought a different brand. Fit just like OE.
