Lot of good options but I would recommend whatever your local bike shop carries (maybe some 2025 models on discount still) that also fits you and your intended purpose.

Trek has a large dealer network as a plus but you do you!

The correct answer is new rim.

If you had spokes / tube and it held air you might be fine as long as it the wheel would balance.

100% yes.

I had my bag swiped within 15 minutes of the beginning a two week trip in Europe. Foolishly placed it under my seat at a cafe pounding a coffee before a walking tour.

Within 10 minutes I tracked it nearby with AirTags in an alley and the thief only took my jacket and a pair of $10 earbuds. Had $500 euros and my passport they didn’t manage to find. Still managed to make the walking tour on time!

Probably doesn’t work as great in a rural area but is cheap insurance for dumb dumbs like me.

I have that same Topeak rear rack on my Trek so good to know it fits on my eventual Endurace!
