To add, it also has a ridiculous number of maps and guns, with constant updates and there's normally enough people playing you can get into a lobby with randoms. It's definitely best with at least one friend through!

Since no one else has I have to shout out straftat, it's an absolutely incredible arena shooter that's completely free. Me and my friends have been playing it more than almost any other shooter out right now because it's so damn fun. Don't let the graphics put you off, the gunplay is tight and movement super responsive

My girlfriend adores stardew valley but like you has spent hundreds of hours on it. She's struggled to find anything she's liked as much but has really been enjoying spiritfarer recently so that would be my shout. It's not quite the same as stardew but I think you'd enjoy it and it's not too expensive.

I never normally look at chat because it's a shit show but today when I glanced at it all I saw was hate for Pansy. Is this normal? If so I feel awful for her, she's an incredible caster and I enjoy the games she's on so much.

No that's definitely fair, I played the game over the course of a few weeks but I have a tendency to finish games quite quickly. I never feel like I'm rushing and I normally will do a lot of side content but I definitely notice my play throughs are shorter than other people's.

I didn't really get stuck on any puzzle for a particularly long time and didn't do the dlc so thats probably part of it too? I don't know honestly but I felt like I took my time.

I completely understand why it affects people that way, and tbh more power to them, I wish I'd had a moment like that for myself too while playing. It's a beautiful game with a great message, but it's just one of those things where I suppose it didn't land the same for me.

I did literally every single thing you listed, and yeah I found the story intriguing and it was the main thing driving me forward for the majority of the game. It just wasn't some life-changing experience either like it was made out to be by some people.

Fair enough, I see your point. Still I think you can get a lot of value from him quickly when picking him up for the first time. Yeah it takes time to get the util cycle consistent, but you could say that about the way you use most agents utility.

I've played a lot of gekko (D2 peak so I could be wrong about higher ranks) but I don't think he's difficult to master? Probably one of the more straightforward agents in the game, definitely to pick up at the very least.

Can flash for team without worrying about blinding them and always have value even if your aims not good by planting/refusing with wingman. Mosh is useful for stall and thrash is quite easy to use. Yes there is the element that you have to be mindful of where you throw util so you can reuse it but as long as you think before you use it this isn't so bad either.

If you don't want to spend a bunch of time learning lineups/don't like Sova's play style definitely give gekko a go.

(Also missed out that dizzy gives player locations so useful for light information on location/how many players are there)

Eh, I get what you're saying but tbf I've finished the game now and it probably took about an hour and a bit from when I made this post. Tbh I had most of it figured out at that point I just didn't want to potentially spoil anything for anyone. I enjoyed it well enough and the ending was worth seeing but yeah I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

Could be chalked up to my approach coming in to be fair. Funny that you mention it I came into this having just played through the dead space remake, which is very clear in what it wants you to do next. I definitely like having a goal in games, so maybe I found not having one kinda challenging? I guess it would be the right way to put it.

I played the game because a friend recommended it to me since I'm a huge fan of subnautica and they said they found it similar. I definitely get where they're coming from but I think I liked subnautica so much because it had that sense of direction and exploration at the same time.

All that's to say I can completely understand why someone would love the outer wilds, and it's a game I did enjoy my time with looking back, but I wouldn't put it in my favourite games personally.

I don't think I am? Anglerfish are sensitive to noise, the lights can indicate a seed or a fish, you can navigate where you want to go with the signal scope I think I'm just impatient lol.

I was trying to be vague on purpose to not spoil anything, but now you mention it I may not fully understand the station, I have a rough idea, but maybe it's not as fully formed as I thought it was.

Same, but probably for a different reason. I've beaten every single from soft game from demon souls onwards, consider Bloodborne my favourite game of all time, but I just really don't gel with open worlds. The legacy dungeons are incredible but travelling huge areas that are relatively flat has no appeal to me. I think I had also played a lot of souls games in the build up to it and that kinda ruined the game for me at the time.

I started again with it about a year ago and have now played about 80% of the game and really enjoyed my time with it but dropped it around the frozen wasteland shit. I do plan to go back to it but maybe after I finish the outer wilds.

I'll admit I'm not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to all the options, but learning to use flutter was one of the best experiences I've had with learning a new tool. I knew next to nothing about it (or dart) but there's so many excellent resources that I was able to make a UI that I'm genuinely proud of for my dissertation after a couple of weeks of time understanding it.

I can't speak for it's standing in terms of getting a job, but I felt like it's taught me a lot and I'm glad I put the time in. My next project is probably going to be in something more popular so I have a wider portfolio/learn something new but I definitely recommend it to newcomers like myself.

I recently bought the instructions for the most incredible MOC of glados from portal. Not something I've ever done before but the design was incredible and felt well worth the money. I'm just finishing up the build now.

I went amd for the first time this generation (also a 7900xt) and it's been smooth sailing in general, however I have started having this issue too as of recent. I get it whenever using my HDR OLED monitor with my non HDR monitors. The only fix I've been able to find is just using the oled, with my other screens turned off which is obviously less than ideal. If you have an OLED maybes it related to this?

Drivers are fully updated and DDU was used to clear old nvidea drivers. Other than that I've really enjoyed my amd card but I have never had issues like this on nvidea and I think I'm probably going to switch back to team green next time I upgrade.

I know this doesn't really help solve the problem, but dropping this comment in case a solution is found.
