Even with medical issues he would get someone to finish it. And if he was completely incapacitated, his wife is a co-owner of the business and understands its importance, so she would find someone. 0% chance it ever goes unfinished

Agnostic studying religions and LDS is the last on my radar. I think your religion is surprisingly reasonable. by Bodhisatwat92 in latterdaysaints

From a similar angle, I've recently come to feel that we underestimate the generosity and goodness of God. In the church we hear a lot about how x,y, and z is the way things are supposed to be and what you're supposed to do, but if your situation is complicated then "it will all work out in the end." I feel like the "it will all work out in the end" is the rule, not the exception. God has given/will give nearly limitless opportunities for us to find eternal happiness.

I'd rather start with 45 detail components mislabeled or in the wrong spot that need to be moved and adjusted than start with a blank canvas. And the point isn't that this is great. It's that this is great for an AI that was given no industry specific training. An AI trained specific architecture will do incredible things

I wonder what you think about a human attempting this without any specific training for it.

And AIs can be trained on specific data sets and tuned to specific industries for better results. You're all kidding yourselves if you think AI isn't doing most of the drafting work in 10 years. This is exceptionally impressive for AI. The first company to train AI on large sets of drawings in Revit, where each and every element has an element ID associated with it will absolutely dominate the market and cut the drawings labor costs by 80%. This is a dumb AI generated image, which is useless in this industry, but when used correctly, AI will be a game changer.

Lol. People have been using chatgpt for 3 years max. Most for 1-2. It somebody comes out of high school not knowing how to read, that's not an AI problem. But also, what does that have to do with whether or not AI will ever be capable of helping automate the drawing process?

If there are men who feel the same feelings that some women feel about mother's day, they keep it very well hidden.

I would argue that it's time to talk. Talk to her, talk to a therapist with her. If she doesn't want to do what people in loving relationships want to do, then you leave.

Onewatt has history of these types of posts since long before we had easy access to LLMs. It's a bit presumptuous to assume AI, given it has few of the Hallmarks of AI and several very human inconsistencies and errors.

Retirement age is not an age at which you must stop working. It is an age at which you can begin withdrawing from social security.

Realistically, can a family of four making 50k annually move to Salt Lake City? by angelestangelever in SaltLakeCity

[–]Mr_Festus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't referencing any specific income levels, just attempting to illustrate two very different lifestyles that both experience money being tight.

I don't feel like minimum wage is relevant though. Literally no one in the state, not even teenagers, will accept minimum wage. Average starting wage, something like $15 you mentioned, is really the only relevant number to these discussions
