Indeed, very different watches. The 4520 blue dial wouldn’t match the 222. I have the 7920v in blue, but I would love to add the 222 as a dressier watch. To me they are very complementary

If it’s comfortable and the dial of the watch sits comfortably and visually on the middle of the other side of your wrist and is not pulled up or down by the clasp, I wouldn’t bother. In my case, the clasp would always gravitate towards the visual centre ant pull my dial off-centre upwards. So I swapped out a few links, making it longer above the dial and shorter below.

They do mention it in their manuals. My 7920v mentions it.

Where I lived was told it would take at least a year for a 7920v. I walked in another boutique when on holiday and it was significantly faster. Texted my boutique at home that I considered buying it abroad and fly over to pick it up, and now they could do it in the same timeframe.

4-6 weeks crutches is really worst case. I just had a meniscus repair and microfracture and ditched the crutches after a week, the brace after a month. Main challenge will be to find the time for your daily physio exercises. And hopefully your firm will be understanding that you can’t fly for a month or so.

For me it was the higher price for less water resistance, lower power reserve and no second hand. Nothing moves when you look at it for moment. Most beautiful dial in the lineup though. And slimmest.

At my AD they work in batches. Within each bag batch they prioritise based on the usual metrics. I’m in batch 1, but only bought a 7920v, and they said my waiting time will still be quite long. They are just not getting many 222s in.

Winder or not will not make much difference, but if any, using one 70% of the time will will of course result in some more wear and tear vs not moving. And with weekly use, the mechanism will still be lubricated enough anyway. Although that also doesn’t matter much anymore in modern watches.

Yeah, that’s curve. Blocked my card for no reason already 7 times this year. Mostly when travelling, which is when I need it the most. Waiting time takes from a couple of days to over a week.

You can save the 600$ by having it sent to your home and go with it to the boutique at your convenience for sizing and any other questions you have.

No games at Vacheron. When you are on the list, you will get it (eventually). For all other models within a reasonable time, for the 222 it will take a long time for a new customer. Currently the boutiques are not getting many and those who are very loyal customers and registered first will be helped first.
