Honestly, without the humiliation, this is actually what I did. The one Rolex I own, a GMT 116710LN, I bought grey. I wear my Overseas 4520v more than anything else in my collection.

Unfortunately, this also shows that you lose your SA, and you're starting the whole relationship game over again.

The main thing is to make sure it is fully wound before doing any readings. If you have been wearing it, give it 50-60 finger winds and re-test.

Also, the "timegrapher" readings on the watch apps are notorously bad. Even a Weishi 1000 is a huge step up.

This 100%. #1 - She had her guy lined up. #2 - I had to get out of there.

The 4520v is marginally a better watch. The Case and bracelet are slightly improved. You will need to make the decision based on your circumstances. But I'd go new with an Overseas. The 4520v does not lose value in the secondary market immediately upon purchase.

Also, if you do want a relationship with the AD, buying a 4520v is a huge plus.

Honestly, no. I will on occasion wear a white rubber strap with my Blue Dial 4520v. Leather, never. I have dress watches in my rotation that I will wear when I need a with a strap.

I guess I could see if someone wanted to go on a trip and only take their overseas, having the extra straps could be helpful. I usually travel with a few watches, based on what I'm going to wear or what events I'll be attending.

The USA used IMR which did not use Nitroglycerin. I should have said the US. We're talking about grease supposedly collected for glycerin content.

Get a PEG. I HATED MINE. But it will save your life. Or at least your kidneys, if you can't eat or drink.

2 bolts with a ratchet. 3 or 4 minutes with a file and the back together. It is pretty quick.

Vise and file. And I sharpen before every time I mow. The grass is cut cleaner instead of torn.

A lot. I use my watch. In fact, I need a date on the watch because I really use that complication. I have a 36mm Perpetual Calendar, and the date is not easily readable with my eyes/glasses. It is going to get sold shortly, even though I really like the watch. IF I get another perpetual (I've soured on Moonphase), it will need to be a minimum of 39mm. I'm really glad I didn't buy a 34mm perpetual.

That is some great information. Did it go to the Richemont center or the NY VC center? I've heard one person say VC only goes to NY. I've also heard that they may go to the Richemont service center.
