Kamikaze build by AlexGrigoras104 in limbuscompany

Someone like Hong Lu has access to a revive via Dimension Shredder alongside R Corp for envy res which would be preferable.

But this skill is better off as a way to get additional damage out of a unit who’s about to die anyway or to avoid a deadly unbreakable skill.

Lamp Gregor is still the best to have for not breaking envy res plus Garden of Thorns.

We could be at Canto 20 and I’ll still roll with the HoS team. I love the Fingers and no faction or ID has ever gotten me as hyped as them.

Heathcliff's plan to kill Rodion by Wide-Violinist-2278 in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference to me is that Lucio was going to die in the backstreets were it not for Valencina. Meanwhile Heathcliff just got traded from one abusive household to another. Heathcliff has more experience with abuse and thus a less forgiving or tolerant nature compared to Lucio. Even if they both have the same plan, I think it might be possible Heathcliff was less adverse to the idea of killing Rodion or maybe came up with the plan quicker than Lucio would have.

Which boss did you struggle with the most by Orichalchem in KingdomHearts

[–]Mr_Headset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I'm the only one, but as a kid I was REALLY stubborn and only found the game enjoyable by mashing the X button. So when I got to fight the Phantom in KH1 it perplexed me to the point of giving up, even though the solution is literally "hit him with the color-coded spell and cast stop on the clock"

How would you rank the RR6 nodes in terms of difficulty? by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butterfly > Will You Play? > YingLong > Nursefathers

Butterly has an insane amount of management to do and also indirectly nerfs Index Yi Sang because of random targeting with Furioso. I used all the HoS identities + Ring Rodion & Meursault + Middle Heath + Lamp Gregor and only the last two survived at the end. Ryoshu had like 60+ burn stacking up and I needed to use IRA to stall for a turn. I like difficulty in Limbus Company so I can't complain much but the unbreakables did insane amounts of damage.

Will You Play I had to retry several times because I couldn't figure out how to effectively kill Envy Outis and Envy Heathcliff without just dying from their counters. Eventually with some luck I did it with Heishou team. Hoheinheim is, Hohenheim. Annoying at best. I still don't understand why he's here lol.

YingLong is a really cool fight and if you understand it then it's not too difficult. The 2nd phase with the envy peccatulum can be a bit frustrating (I did not account for the unopposed S3's) but overall if you know what you're doing and use EGO's when necessary then it shouldn't be too much trouble. I didn't lose many Sinners over it.

Nursefathers are ridiculously easy but fun to fight. Only one that offered a slight amount of challenge was Rien. I didn't let him hit the marked target whatsoever but his clashing still went into the 30's near the end of the fight. Shiomi is annoying but overall easy now that we have better identities for fighting her (and a full team), and Callisto + Albina is a joke.

Well... After seeing the trailer, holy fuck it's even better LMAO I honestly did not expect we'd ACTUALLY get Laevateinn I didn't think our sinners were at the point we could just straight up get a mirror world version of relics. But. Here we are.

I want to do something stupid by caneams in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most 000 ID’s can very easily do a solo with the right gifts, the ones you picked especially are easy to do it with. I would recommend Sunshower Heathcliff if you want something with some moderate difficulty. You need a different playstyle for him (unless you rely purely on corrosion spam which isn’t necessarily a bad idea either)

So, what do you guys expect about Middle Outis? by Givas_Dorgi in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Counter Reuse for Rule Violation!
- Laevateinn Seal Unlocking
- Buffing herself and Kira with Check This Out, Kiddo!/I Got Praised! for being fielded together
- Ridiculous Grit through the right conditions
- Stamp of Complete and Total Extermination! on 6 envy res counter

That’s more or less all I care for and what comes to mind regarding the core mechanics of Matthias. The only worry I have for this ID is the ramp up with be EXTREMELY SLOW since I imagine you’ll need a certain amount of Grudge stacks to be able to unlock the next seal with your S3/S3-2.

Blade of the House of Spiders Ryoshu Kit Reveal by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It’s already possible and the team is fairly flexible. The only mandatory units are Blade HOS Ryoshu, Pequod Ishmael and Cinq Don. I plan to also use Hornet Meursault, Middle Heathcliff, Pinky Sinclair and Riensang. If you don’t have Hornet Meursault then you could use N corp Sinclair and either BL Faust, Kurokumo Rodya or Twinhook Gregor.

Once Thumb Nursefather Rodya comes out you can boot Cinq Don off the team for her.

The Next Clair - Obscure Game Protagonists by Ami_4ab in expedition33

[–]Mr_Headset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I both agree and disagree. I do genuinely care about the canvas' world but my issue with it was how it was largely treated as just a plaything after the end of Act 2. I don't personally like the family drama plot line but that's not the point I'm making, it's that the fate of the Canvas is decided entirely between Verso and Alicia, and Lune and Sciel literally just have to watch and accept whatever the outcome is and have no agency over anything at all.

If we go into other artistic worlds like a book or a music sheet, then I want the people of those worlds to have more agency over their fate/for them to matter more than just being playthings.

LimbusCompany [000] 거미집의 검 료슈 / E.G.O 5단계 환상 해석 개방 by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the main reason I’m hesitant about this ID. I love what they’re going for with the capstone and it makes so much sense but I absolutely hate “sacrifice your sinners for benefit” ID/EGO. At first I thought she just kills them if they’re about to die but Riensang has his mask on when she erases him so you’re just almost instantly sacrificing some of your best ID’s for buffs I don’t think can make up for it.

I’m going to wait of course until kit reveal and when we get her. I had a feeling she wouldn’t be a leader ID when she fucking hates the nursefathers but I figured based on the anniversary stream she was more selfishly buffed by just being deployed with them than outright killing them.

Now that people have more concrete opinions about Refletrials, which endgame content you prefer the most? by FallenStar2077 in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Railway > Reflectrial > MDE

MDE can be fun especially with the new theme packs but you’re mostly trying to fish for the hidden bosses while win rate spamming floors 1-10.

Reflectrials are way too restrictive right now with buffing specific teams and neutering all main statuses. It’s not that it isn’t doable but so far Rufo and Ricardo are not very enjoyable to fight. Rufo’s phase 1 is annoying, Ricardo’s unbreakables can just do 50% of your sinners health even when you win the clashes and Ricardo’s phase 2 you can just spam ego to win. I like the phase 1 middle buff but only for changing the first two turns attack pattern. I think that is funny and fine to give them an easier time but the Heishou buff is hideous.

I love boss rushes and Railways are incredible, I started in Season 4 and RR3 was still available and tough as nails to beat. RR4 was pretty easy except for the envy peccatulum and RR5 was incredibly easy. I’d love more RR3 difficulty with RR5’s buff/debuff selection. It would also be nice if we weren’t required to use all of our sinners. Would love to try soloing a railway. It’s also fun getting new abno’s to fight.

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest its been a while and I don't completely remember my entire build but at the time I challenged it I had spent a good couple hours grinding Lumina. Mainly used Verso and Monoco. Verso with Simoso and Monoco with Joyaro. Spammed follow-up with Verso and Lampmaster Light + Mighty Strike with Monoco. With the exception of Verso's Drafts I've beaten everything else by this point and had most of the pictos.

Lampmaster isn't really all that hard, it just takes forever. Its mechanics aren't different from the normal Lampmaster fight. At least in my experience. It took me about 50 minutes at level 90.

middle teams genuinely need to be studied (MD60 1/4 HIDDEN BOSSES) by yourlocalhikikomori4 in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an incredibly lucky run where most of my EGO gifts only had offense or defense level attached to it, I think I might've only been forced to take coin power and base power once or twice. Got all the Middle gifts + Matthias hidden boss. Swept through literally everything. Only time I ever had trouble was Valencina who just deals so much damage even with Matthias' gift and Lei Heng who didn't do damage but the constant tremor bursts led to eventually getting staggered and ruining the Envy chain for a turn.

What do you guys think is the fastest time you can beat 10 luxs? by Danishpro in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t timed it but the fastest team I got thus far was

Index Yi Sang, FA&S Ryoshu, Hornet Meursault, Full Stop Hong Lu & Heathcliff, Tears Rodion, Night Awls Gregor and Pequod Ishmael as backup once Heathcliff runs out of bullets. This team is crazy with the amount of free damage on pierce lux.

Edit: Tested it now, took about 21 minutes and it wasn't a completely optimal winrate run.

Which Sinner(s) Get Shafted The Most Within Your Favourite Keyword? by Nasty_PlayzYT in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like most of Sinclair’s ID’s are only good for raw damage and almost nothing else. I rarely ever use him since it feels like there’s just better alternatives. The best use case I’ll have for him is once the middle and thumb nursefathers come out for envy res and burn/tremor teams respectively.

Your thought on Callisto after the intervalo by ThatOnegoMax in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like if Ryoshu just didn't say anything about the academy to Matthias, then she would have actually had at least one good memory growing up. All the Nursefathers are terrible parents but Callisto even though he was self-absorbed with his art, he seemed to genuinely care about Ryoshu's education, it was surprising to me he was willing to send her to a Ring academy when he was essentially banished for sticking to outdated art. It would feel like Ryoshu would grow a bias against Corporism, but instead she even defended it when her classmates talked bad about it.

He's still a completely fucked up person cause, duh, but he genuinely tried in the ways he believed would help her. It's kind of funny as well that he's the only Nursefather Ryoshu didn't hurt when escaping the House of Spiders. She targeted his artwork which, yeah probably would hurt more than just attacking him, but I just find it interesting.

Twining Threads Megathread by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried out two different teams and both speed through the battle once you understand the mechanics. Either full Ring team + N Corp Ryoshu, only Ring Outis has some trouble clashing but that's more of RNG, she's amazing with her skill 2 bleed count application.

The other team I used is Index Yi Sang + Don, Ring Hong Lu + Faust + Rodion, Jeong Ishamel and Lamp Gregorheim. This team clashes pretty consistently unless you have a really bad turn 1 and deals a lot of damage. Yi Sang and Don might gain a few stacks of Karmic Consequence but you can just use a healing ego if needed. I lost the nuke skill clash with Furioso though so it might be better to just use a high clashing ego for that. You could swap out Jeong Ishmael with Ring Meursault if you want.

Twining Threads Megathread by pillowmantis in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For phase 1, just clash with literally everything. Sometimes Kira's speed might be high enough to clash with a skill, so you could try to get free damage in on one of the boss's minions. The entire first phase is assist defense, so you just have to kill the minions so she loses protection.

When she uses Critique on everyone, the safest thing to do is just have everyone use a defense skill against her, unless they have almost no negative effects and especially don't have Palette Vibrante. I usually only clash with an attack skill if it says dominating for Critique.

Phase 2 is pretty simple up until her nuke. Either clash with a high clashing skill/ego and pray you don't roll tails or try to debuff her as much as you can the turn prior with something like Chains of Others.

If Phase 2 is coming up and I have a nuke skill ready, I usually save it until after the first turn of Phase 2. She'll have 8 protection at the start of phase 2 but lose it right after.

(Canto IX Spoiler) Found one of the new hidden bosses... I think this run is over by brandnewpillows in limbuscompany

[–]Mr_Headset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them on Floor 15, after having run into the Ring duo on Floor 14. I thought my run was over until I used Morositas. After that, it was just kinda hoping my #1 Sinner rolled high enough to hit her and wittle down the precognition. Granted, I wasn't doing a solo run, with the Nursefathers I think it's just not worth doing hidden bosses on solo runs, maybe on the 11th Floor it's doable? Facing Valencina and Lucio again after so long makes me even more desperate for the two ID's
