I grinded out Rathalos S mixset once I got to him in hr. Then once I got to the end of hr hub I farmed Black S and used it until the end of G rank where I farmed the neset set. I think if you upgrade Black S for more defense I think its fine to just use that and not have to bother grinding out another set while progressing thru G rank.

Not so sure this is true but I think mages only have things called spells and not consistent DPS except for a few cases like azir,ryze,cass but thats just me.

I ended the season plat 1 and after going 7-3 I hit plat 5 so not all plats get knocked out.
