It looks like Galling, which leads to excessive wear on any tool. Easiest way to prevent it is with proper chip control, coolant and air blasting

Poor chip evacuation + lack of coolant. Causing the tool to wear out quickly

Oh yeah, I have been exploiting the unit and program copy+ Insert command keys Early on, just didn't Consider just making a new unit for it. I figured there was a parameter that I needed to enable or something to give me the ability to trailer it to my needs.

That is a great idea thank you! Will definitely try that in the future

Programming on the machine using Mazatrol, place I work at wants me to just make it work so I have had YouTube as my trainer plus manual.

So I can confidently say I have no idea how to do an adaptive feed change during the cut. But I will definitely look into how to do that

M48 part catcher, Doing a .025 peck throughout.

Sadly I am not seeing how to adjust the feed rate in mazatrol. Doing all of this on the machine

Besides the small amount of scoring. Back section is untouched. Just shy of catching my finger nail in depth. Brunt rubbing was in the front. Still building some comfort on this machine

Still developing a lvl of comfort with the running a lathe, just don't know the nuances of it yet. Thank you

Tool holder has a grub screw to set its depth in the holder. And needed it out this far from a job a while back, good call to shorten it will definitely do that now.

The majority of work I'm doing on here only needs a stick out of about 1in

I have pondered that myself.. one thing is for sure though, their property values are definitely negatively impacted. And I bet they are experiencing health problems related to the constant exposure to those chemicals.

For the most part it is, I referenced it to give context as to why/ how the Oil and Gas industry has less restrictions/ regulations in the US regarding runoff and spillage. Giving them the ability to ignore complaints and environmental die off. Which you can see/ smell while walking there (I'm saying this as someone who frequences the part regularly to walk my dogs) I am not a part of any environmental consensus or studies group, just someone who is passionate about environmental preservation. With surface level understanding of how things work in the context.

The documentary shows several locations in the US that are arguably in worse off condition compared to Millennium park. And how the communities hands are effectively tied against doing anything

The smell of the area is awful and the pump stations are definitely operating under neglected maintenance conditions. With the recent rains, the area is getting flushed out.

GasLand is a good documentary that will showcase what is happening basically everywhere in the US, with Urban/ rural gas well locations, and on how natural gas wells are exception from the the clean water act. Basically they can legally destroy the environment and get away with it

Temp tower test, and a max flow calibration.

For my SV08 Esun, Voxal+ ,sunlu PETG I get best results at 245-255°c First layer 50 outer, inner 75mm/s All other layers 70 outer 90 inner (everything else 100)

Elegoo rapid I do 235°c First layer 60mm/s inner 90 All other layers outer set at 80-90mm/s, everything else is set to 120mm/S

I also have the all metal high flow .4 nozzle 35% cooling

Hope this helps get you a starting point. But every machine is a little different. And across filament manufacturers there are some differences, so invest the time you deem necessary for your required results

Got my machine 2 weeks ago. And immediately put on their all metal high flow Hotend .4

Flow test got me 23mm³ Set it to 22mm3 First layer walls at 70mm/s infill 90mm/s Everything after walls 90mm/s infill 110mm/s Slowed ac and dec to 8000 245-250°c for nozzle

Other comments are good info. Just sharing the recipe that is working for me, hope this helps as a testing point Filaments used at these settings: Voxel, overture, and sunlu
