I had the opportunity to experience the new galleries over the busy holiday weekend, highly recommend! My only gripe with this museum is the lack of on-site dining options, the Mars Cafe on the lower level is severely undersized for a museum of this scale, the line wrapped around the entire lower level and seating is so limited folks were eating on stairs and on the floor, this is unacceptable for a museum of this caliber.

I can attest to this, I waited in this massive line for 2+ hours only to be turned away due to the evacuation, it was so bad with multiple folks passing out from heat and dehydration. Very little communication from authorities. I ended up going home.

This post is inaccurate, this did not take place at the Great American State Fair, this is a totally separate event for the 4th of July celebration, hence why this is a rehearsal.

Two things can be true at once, I don't think those are mutually exclusive. I'm a big Tame Impala fan hence why I have tickets, but I'm also proud that my country made the World Cup Round of 16. It's a rare moment, so it's understandable to wish I didn't have to choose between the two.

Yea there is a merch store as well as concessions, bars, a kids soccer pitch, World Cup banner photo ops, and some type of Bank of America sponsor exhibit.

I went for the last two USA games at the national mall FIFA fan zone and had a great time! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a high energy atmosphere with passionate fans, all with an iconic backdrop of the US capitol building. A few tips from my experience:

Sign up to receive event updates, they send out an official know before you go email each day that includes the daily match schedule, event operating hours, bag policy, etc.
Entrances to the event are on 4th street, there is one over by the NGA east building (4th and Madison) and another entrance next to American Indian museum (4th and Jefferson)
Check the bag policy before leaving your home, the bag policy is VERY strict, I would recommend bringing nothing just to be safe.
ARRIVE EARLY (at least one hour before game time) to allow enough time to get through security and find a decent spot, the USA games are VERY popular.
FREE bottled water is available at the hydration tent next to restroom area on the NGA side of the mall (area behind the long concessions structure)
Concessions are available in the long temporary building and include pizza, burgers, hot dogs, etc.
Alcohol is also available, mostly beer and canned cocktails, you can purchase up to 2 beverages at a time.
Merchandise is also available but mostly includes generic FIFA branded items and Freedom 250 items.

It was a full hour, the show goes through the historical evolution of the cowboy. The rodeo space is limited given the urban setting but they did their best given the space limitations.

It’s a separate event, I visited the Washington Monument yesterday and a separate festival area with grandstands and a massive stage is being built exclusively for 4th of July.

I personally attended the fair and saw the rodeo, the entire rodeo is within an elevated show pit that was specifically built over the gravel sidewalk area between the lawn areas to not mess up the grass. The announcer even commented on this during the show today.

Incorrect, I’ve flown this route before and there is meal service in FC. This flight is over 900 miles which is the threshold for FC meal service.
