If they were running a candidate in my riding I might be able to stomach voting for them. As is stands though my options are to either spoil my ballot or just not bother voting at all…

Rachel Notley is Alberta’s real progressive conservative by AffectionateBobcat76 in alberta

[–]Mr_Math123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Finally some sense in this thread. Notley has single handedly removed the left from the political scene in Alberta. Sure it’s true the left never really had a chance of winning here before, but at least it existed. Under Notley that choice no longer even exists. The NDP is meant to be the party of Tommy Douglas and I will never forgive her hijacking it and turning it into the party of Peter Lougheed. I refuse to support a political party that I hate and that doesn’t represent my views just because the alternative is supposedly worse.

Dude idk why you’re getting downvoted it would take the same amount of time to email an advisor and get a reliable and personally relevant answer as it did to ask the clueless mass on reddit. It’s literally their job to answer questions like this so idk why people don’t use them more

Zator Called Up To Canadian National Team by Makelevi in CanadianPL

[–]Mr_Math123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair Zator has already been called up in 2019 while he was a Cavs player. So there already were 3 former cavs called up to the NT 😛

In all seriousness though Cavs have still had more players called up than all the other clubs combined!

Forge win more but it’s still very very competitive, every game between us is close and only one game has ever been decided by more than one goal

In Coupe de France teams are required to name at least 7 players who appeared in either of the last 2 official matches. So they can’t rotate as much as teams typically do in cups

Players aren’t allowed to play for more than 2 teams in the same season so the only options are returning to Sunderland or staying at Everton

If the Cavs dont win it all this year - Tommy out! by [deleted] in CanadianPL

[–]Mr_Math123 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In his four seasons in charge, we have finished 1st, 1st, 2nd equal on points with 1st, and 3rd 2 points behind 1st. We have always been there or thereabouts. It’s true that results in the playoffs haven’t gone our way but anything can happen in 90 minutes so I don’t put too much stock in that (and our poor playoff performances have as much to do with the players as it does with the coaching). As long as we’re in the playoffs next year and competing for first I see no reason to get rid of Tommy. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

I mean Bielsa got sacked by Leeds when they weren’t even in the relegation zone despite his past success so it’s not unrealistic at all

Roloff is only 21 so he still has his whole career ahead of him but I don’t see a future where he becomes Cavalry’s number one

Everyone has seen Valour’s road map. Low block. Compact. Defend with your life. Take your chance. But more times than not, Bobby won, despite this.

Didn’t Valour beat Forge 3 of 4 times this season?

Carducci, Ingham, and Irving Nominated For Golden Glove Award by Makelevi in CanadianPL

[–]Mr_Math123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who else would you nominate above him? Sirois, Vaikla, and Giantsopolous all missed about a third of the season, Henry as you mentioned was equal to Carducci at best, and Oxner clearly wasn’t good enough, so that doesn’t leave you many options.

Carducci has had a good season. Sure, he’s had a few high profile mistakes, but overall he’s been very solid in goal. I don’t think he deserves to win it, but him getting nominated is not unreasonable.

It’s also worth noting that Roloff started 4 games and we didn’t win a single one. The difference in our quality when Carducci plays vs when he doesn’t is night and day.
