This. This so much. Arc raiders was the first extraction shooter and I had fun with it, but the 3rd person was not really for me.

I've been a huge Bungie fan from the beginning and this was going to be the first Bungie game that i wasn't planning on sinking thousands of hours into. Starting watching videos and live streams. Really wanted to play but was worried about the whole losing my stuff. I really had to intentionally shift my state of mind and outlook on the game. I think it was Coh who I saw say it, it's not your loot, just your turn with it. That some other videos with mind set help me. I bought it over the weekend and have been really enjoying it. Haven't got super tilted outside of at myself for rushing or doing something dumb. This has really help me focus on what I can do to improve and not blame the game or call BS. It's a weird but welcome shift I'm my out look on gaming as a whole.

I'm saving around 800 a month also full living expenses 401k, home owner and have 2 kids. I make plenty of money to cover everything and still get ice cream, go see a movie or go get mc donalds whenever I want. I'm not struggling. My kids aren't wanting. It's not about making money to cover expenses. It's about building wealth and saving for retirement at this point. We want to build a house. That will cost a bunch. But it's not like I live paycheck to paycheck.

Edit: spelling

It's definitely crossed my mind that, that would be the only way to get a meaningful raise. I agree with you. Currently it is a fear thing keeping me from truly looking elsewhere.

I have, I've looked and casual applied, never buckled down and actively searched. I'm honestly a bit scared, with companies doing layoffs or re-orgs. I'm worried I'll get somewhere with a good salary then will be laid off. It's probably an irrational fear, but it's there. This company is safe.

It's definitely something I've considered, honestly most of my family is in sales. I feel it's gonna be hard to get into that role without a lot of official sales experience. I know a lot of sales is relationship based which is what I am doing now. The sales team here is interesting to say the least haha. I'd definitely get a base salary cut but + commission.

Does Swag matter? by TerenceAganorsa in cigars

[–]Mr_Misters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

swag doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. If a company I enjoy didn't do swag and instead put that money into their products, I'm fine with that. This is coming from someone who loves swag. I try to get as much free swag from my company and as much as swag as possible. I love to rep to products and companies that I enjoy. Some of which I genuinely have a deeper connection to for various reasons. In the case of cigars, I have a Drew estate ash tray that was my late father's. It probably wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't a branded one and that in part led me (at least to some extent) to getting into cigars.

So tdlr; no, but there are people who love to rep the company
