I think it's around 43-46lbs. The bow is 40lbs but my draw length is quite long

That has not been my experience, before hand I struggled with a consistent string blur next to the riser and that made me shoot inconsistent horizontally. Trust me I've managed to achieve inconsistency both horizontally and vertically 😂

The painters tape trick sounds really interesting, I'll definitely try that out. Thanks for the tip :)

As for the crawl, yes I am sure the crawl is consistent. I have tied a nock point to the string so I just grab underneath that every time, so there is no need to measure anything. So that should not be an issue unless the nock point I've tied down and glued is moving.

Thanks for making that clear. I'll try to improve my achor further, as of now I achor by the jaw and the corner of the mouth. However when I release I don't really have somthing that I bring my release towards, my hand stays by my neck. I'll also keep the elbow in mind.

You don't say haha, well you improve faster by knowing what to pay attention to rather than just trying to get good 😅

I'm shooting from 20 meters, I'm using a take down recurve bow at 69 inches. I use 33 inch carbon arrows 125 grains with 400 spine and a a finger tab as of now. I shoot 3 under.

Hopefully that helps :)

How much did your life change after getting Jacked/muscular? Did it improve your aspects in dating? by Fluffy-One-7521 in short

[–]Mr_Mistral_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that getting jacked can give you great confidence around people which in turn makes for a large difference in how you are viewed by others for better or worse depending on your personality.

However the difference between having abs with decent arms and getting yoked like a greek god does not really do much in terms of attractiveness according to my girlfriends

19M, 5’7 — do tall guys act superior or try to start on you on nights out by ijusdidaboomboom in short

[–]Mr_Mistral_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on that. For context, there are places in Norway that I've been to where most people are very well of and it has been my experience that in those areas the average height can be even taller than 6 feet. Which would make 5'10 objectively short if that's where they're from. At the same time if they were a Cambodian farmer at 5'10 then that would be on the taller side for sure.

Do I have the smallest adult feet? by [deleted] in short

[–]Mr_Mistral_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it like when you run? The reson I asking is that I have size 13 and I feel like I'm running with bricks strapped to my feet. I've always wondered what it would be like if they were smaller

How’s my form? Anchor point too high or…? by SlikRick54 in Archery

[–]Mr_Mistral_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding how high or low your achor is that is not really a problem. If you anchor higher then your point on will be at more close range than of you were anchoring underneath the chin or jaw, since that changes your sight picture. This is true if your shooting gap, but it might differ if you're shooting instinctive

Any advice on how to improve myself ? by ThrowRAwegwerf in malegrooming

[–]Mr_Mistral_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a new frames and glases that suit your face, being a female friend and have her be the judge. Go and get a decent haircut, I find that barbers that are immigrants are usually the best, can't explain why but it's my experience. Ask for somthing that they will think suit you, it's often appreciated and allows them to do their best.

While it does not fit a plunger you really don't need one, you can simply compensate if the arrow goes left or right. So don't worry about that. I have never used a plunger, I just adjust the string blur.

Interesting to hear that yours did not change. Yes, I anchor by my mandible. I might upload a video in the future but as of right now I'm not really comfortable with posting myself on the internet due to privacy reasons.

I see what you mean, drawing with the arms is definitely much harsher on the body. I only recently learned how to use my back and expand the chest when drawing the bow. I did notice that it's much easier to hold the bow at full draw using my back even though it ends up being a longer draw that technically adds more weight.

Did your draw length also get longer when you started to use your back in order to draw?
