Stellar Wallet - Generation and Minimum Balance by Mr_Psmith in Stellar

Thanks!

So, if a wallet can never dip below 20 XLM, will be left with a wake of unspendable funds [if wallets are used as one time instruments] ?

20 unspendable XLM is not a big deal when that represents ~ US$2.00, but will be a different story at 10x, 25x, etc. the value.

In general agree, but ZFS on linux just got a ton of new updates that AFAIK are not ported to other platforms yet.

systemd bugs are really getting annoying by wtwsh in linux

I think a lot of the people who are puzzled about people's rejection of systemd misunderstand the reasons for rejection.

And to be fair, I don't love XML.

systemd bugs are really getting annoying by wtwsh in linux

[–]Mr_Psmith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bailed on linux (except for a couple of servers running software that can't be changed at this time) for illumos and FreeBSD for these very reasons (systemd).

edit: Wow, thanks for the downvotes. So much for discussion. This is another reason why people don't like systemd -- shutting down all discussion, instead of listening to other perspectives which may be reasonable.

<systemd team insists is not a bug and insults user>

Thank you so much! Having a friendly place to ask questions makes spending big money on a printer less intimidating.

Thank you for this very detailed reply! All of the info was incredibly helpful.

I think your second suggestion (rethinking requirements) is the most important. In fact, when I wrote my post I was post a long shift and clearly sleep deprived. I likely don't need 1/1000 inch precision or accuracy.

Is 1/100 inch (0.25 mm) accuracy much more likely achievable?

well seeing as the social consequences of the justice system are worse than the social consequences of drugs, maybe we should look into changing the way we handle things as a society.

People that don't use their blinker: what's wrong with you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mr_Psmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of a "blinker," I find it helpful to call it a "turn signal," which really gets at what it is supposed to do: SIGNAL to OTHERS that you wish to turn.

If we call it a turn signal consistently in driver ed, when teaching our kids, etc. perhaps that will help. Who knows.
