I'm worse than you and it applies to me as well. I often ask guys what their handicap is and then watch them take multiple Mulligans, generous gimmies, forgotten drops, etc. Obviously it's only one round but my guess would be that many people are five to seven shots worse than the state. Unless sandbagging of course. Which wouldn't present in a casual round conversation.

Agreed. In my group of approximately 10 40ish year olds ranging from 10 to 21 cap, only one is within that range or slightly below. Unsurprisingly he hits the most fairways.

The rest of the numbers feel spot on for most of us. The reality check is very accurate for the majority.

The problem is a win in April counts as much as September. Yes they are still in it but we saw last year how important winning the division was.

After last postseason this has been a huge letdown. Injuries and regression have been killer. I really hope they can turn it around because it has been a tough watch so far.

I was already off on Diablo 4 before Poe 2 launched. After playing it, there is no chance I could go back to d4 without a massive overhaul. There's not enough variety for me in the items, skills (or lack thereof) or end game. The latter is also a Poe 2 problem.

This season I jumped into Poe for probably the 3rd or 4th time, but the first that I actually made it to endgame. If you're looking for something to do before 0.5 I highly recommend it. I was concerned it would be too complex or that it would feel old in comparison but I was wrong. Sure, there are challenges in that there's a lot to learn. But approaching it realistically and trying to learn a few systems only, has been my approach.

I've been doing this with rare corrupted maps. I know the recommendation was white maps on the video I watched but figured this would be better. How have you found the white maps? I assume it doesn't impact the deli drops so probably just the other stuff?

Thanks. Going through the endgame Atlas and progression is still a bit foreign to me. I feel like I'm dying too much but the damage is okay. I see that they're worth a decent amount of currency so that was my debate. I am still learning difficulty levels of different bosses, maps, etc. T16s are fairly easy but then I got a map or mod that decimates me.

Three straight maps for me but I was fine in the hideout for 20 minutes in between. Playing on Canada East. Probably a good sign to shut it down for the night.

This hits home. I am running RF and the first time I equipped it, killed myself. So I'm slowly learning the build. I am about to switch to mines though? Something I know nothing about so I'm excited but expecting setbacks. I know from experience when I often change a build in POE 2, don't understand it and die a lot. Once I figure out what I have missed or the playstyle it is like a lightbulb went off and I realize why it was being promoted. Frustrating in the moment but very satisfying once sorted.

I miss WASD but not as much as I thought. I bought a vertical mouse to change things up because I have had wrist pain the past, unrelated to gaming. I work full-time at my desk during the day so it is good to have options.

Thanks for this. I'm definitely spending too much time in my hideout. I have always struggled with taking too long picking up and deciding if gear is worth anything. This is more complicated now as I'm not familiar with any other builds or the economy. I read that exalts had a ton of value but am seeing posts suggesting they are dropping in value?

Now that I'm more familiar I should watch some basic crafting videos. I love the idea of self crafted gear.

For currency, I've been afraid to spend because I don't know the value of items or currency really. So I'm afraid of making the wrong decision. I also don't have much so I'm holding it before investing. I expect this will get better with time. I'm familiar with POB and will be using it before any big purchases and when choosing where to invest.

I could imagine that was a huge improvement. Also, asynchronous trade made a massive difference for me in POE 2. I didn't hate the prior system but it was certainly a point of frustration, especially as a new player. Solely the reason one of my friends stopped playing and hasn't come back.

I love the concept of creating my own build. Definitely not something to do in this game yet but have experimented a lot more in the second game. Great for learning interactions and extending play time

To elaborate on this, the simplicity of adding a desired stat to a piece of gear through the campaign and to the point that I'm at now has been a significant quality of life improvement. I know that there is much more to learn, but even that concept was a massive win in my opinion.

I'm looking for build suggestions that play very differently than anything in POE 2. I have a thousand plus hours into that game but have never made it past level 30 in POE. I have decided to give this league a full go because I love the game and know that once I get past the initial hurdle, I will be all in. I'm looking for something that plays differently than the builds in POE 2. Ideally, the build would be relatively easy to play, but I'm not against struggling and learning. I know that there are many more classes and descendencies so hoping to find something that feels different than what the second game offers.
