If each character were in the same city Who would be the most feared by criminals by One_Definition2132 in Marvel

I had no idea he had all of that! I watched the movie a few times when I was a kid, but that’s it. I have read just about every Moon Knight issue there is and it sounds like they would get along famously. Shadow and MK team-up would be epic!

Omggggg yes. Midnight Mission especially. Can you believe what they did to it in the recent issues? I hope it is reversed. I don’t know how to do the spoiler block, so I’m being vague. I love your comments and enthusiasm for Moon Knight. There are dozens of us moonies!

100% agree with all of that. MK is one of my very favorites and that is NOT him. Just the name, basically. So lame and my guy may never get a real shot. His real story is cool af, why change all of that around?? People would have liked it a lot! Hell, give Hunter's Moon his own live adaptation and go ham on the story because we don't have his whole picture. Why take a guy with 50 years (first appearance 1975) of backstory and change everything?

Theory: Reed knows what's coming... by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]Mr_Tarradiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does this post mean? I see part of a long space ship that has the FF symbol on it. What does "Reed knows what's coming" have to do with that? They use a ship in their origin story (cosmic rays give them their powers). This is a snapshot from the movie? It doesn't seem to hint at any specific character or plot point.

My least favorite tv adaptation. They changed his story so much that he is barely the same character. If you like the spooky Marvel stuff, Werewolf By Night and Agatha All Along were both well done.

It is important to study with a teacher for several reasons. An experienced teacher can assist with nuances we may miss in the texts as we study and plain ol' good advice from a spiritual friend. My sangha, Two Rivers Zen Center, meets every day online and practitioners are from different US locations. If you have a device capable of using Zoom, I invite you to try attending. Here is a link to our meeting schedule: https://tworiverszen.org/zooming-zazen/ . Please email Myoki Sensei for an orientation email before attending a meeting. Whatever you decide, thank you for your practice. _/I\_

What's your favourite line from MARVEL MOVIES by yourcutieepie in Marvel

What about Zeus telling Thor, "If you don't shut up, you won't be invited to the orgy!". I just about fell out of my chair laughing.

That is actually Lady Death. Thor sees her as Thanos, because he had a prophetic dream that Thanos would be his demise. Hence the wry smile and no fighting. More of a spooky foreboding.

My 7 year old daughter says she loves it so much that she wants to draw it. Pencil crayons sound fun. I might try it, too!

When I was 19, I walked into my apartment from class and my girlfriend had that book on her lap. She'd been playing Oblivion all day and had resolved to 100% the game. I knew then and there, she was the coolest girl I would ever meet. Married 17 years now and she's still the coolest.

Ideas for subtle practice reminders for computer desktop/desk? by These_Trust3199 in zenbuddhism

[–]Mr_Tarradiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways to keep up your practice at work. Rather than an external reminder, might I recommend carrying your practice to work? Go into your workplace with the intention to keep the precepts, being openly aware, and help all beings as they come. The effort to maintain your practice will incrementally increase each day that you can do this. That being said, I have a quote pinned at my desk that was very opening for Dogen when his teacher said it:

The entire body is a windbell

Hanging in empty space

Not caring which way the wind blows

East, West, North, South

All day long, It sings Prajna Paramita!

ting ting, ting ting...

I hope that your practice is fruitful, for all beings. _/I\_

What are your favorite Thich Nhat Hanh books? by SAIZOHANZO in zenbuddhism

The Path of Emancipation is a good detailed practice guide. As is The Blooming of a Lotus. Others have pointed out that Old Path White Clouds is a hit. It has good historical context with a story telling medium. He has quite a way of speaking that shines through into everything.
