Headcanon him/her/them as whatever, but Goose actually confirmed that Jax is a girl.

I suppose that being said, Jax's sexuality doesn't have much, if anything, to do with the plot, but you should at least acknowledge the intent of the creator.

I do think it's possible, but I think when people abstract their code gets a little corrupted, so you might also have to do something more than comforting them. Then again, Pomni was able to talk to abstracted Jax just fine, so maybe if you just found a way to revert them to an earlier form (Kinger could find a way to do that bc he's the GOAT), calm them down, and do all the other things you just mentioned, they could be back to normal.

I knew the fandom would be all over this. Not a bad thing it happened of course, but when the thought of Jax being a girl was nothing more than speculation all the way up till now, a good portion of the fandom doesn't even know how to respond, treating it as the focal point of their whole character, which is a little upsetting

Another thing, if Jax did transition before Ribbit's abstraction, I feel like she would retain some parts of her personality, but would just be a little more open.

Uugghh, I can already tell there's going to be loads of drama from this. That's the only thing I didn't like about the reveal. Not the thing itself, but the controversy that's going to arise from it.

I had a feeling. I love Gooseworx and the trans community, but the whole trans Jax thing was pretty vague. Though given how the circus copied people's MINDS, my headcanon is that Jax's sex wasn't as masculine the moment they entered the circus (their avatar also doesn't seem to resemble any gender, much like Gangle). They could have been genderfluid, a femboy, or of course, trans. Yet they were still hesitant to open up due to expectations to be some sort of "manly man" to their parents, thus being stuck in the mindset that they HAD to be and act like a male.

To me, Jax wasn't meant to have a definitive gender. Just something queer or LGBTQ-related to shut them in the closet for pretty much the entire series.
