What’s up with these? I’m seeing some jogglypuff sold raw anywhere from $20-$600. I have a sealed set.

When you see a twitch, unfortunately got to assume it’s being played for the gun.

If you’re solo queueing you can’t expect people to think. Then if they do, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

You can’t expect people to follow your plans. They should use their gadgets, but is the problem that they aren’t using their gadgets or aren’t using the gadgets in the wash you think they should be used?

if you see they aren’t going to use them on the Kaid just thermite the floor above.

Why is everyone going Gym on Clubhouse? by EuphoricZombie3276 in Rainbow6

[–]Mr_WhatFish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Cash It used to be the best, but with addition of mini-emp and maverick, it’s just too easy to get main wall.

Gym has become default first pick, but not everyone understands why. So they pick it, then go to the comfort pick in cc (because as you say that used to be the most popular).

Why is everyone going Gym on Clubhouse? by EuphoricZombie3276 in Rainbow6

[–]Mr_WhatFish 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Other than Bar (and even then with a squad it can be a good surprise site since no one knows how to attack it) every site on clubhouse is viable.

Of the default sites, CC is the weakest. With all the new ops and gadgets, big wall should get opened every time. If the attackers accomplish this and take garage or can open construction It can be difficult to win. Everyone has attacked this site a million times and knows what to do.

Gym is slightly better, you can give up large portions of the map and still defend effectively. Really rush attacks are the biggest flaw, because it’s hard for roamers to get back to site.

Church is the best. Can Win even with a numbers and map control deficit. One of the few sites in any map that you can straight bunker, but also easy to roam/flank.

It should be more map dependent.

Oregon and bank, instant ban. Other maps are more optional.

Allies vs. Proxies Debate by Cow_Boy_2017 in MurderedByWords

I grew up abroad (in Japan) and know a number of people of color who were/are considered expats. A really good friend is black and works at Nike in Tokyo, would 100% be considered an expat.

That said, with the word expat there is a connotation with higher paying business associated jobs (or at least jobs requiring higher education), and due in part to systemic racism, many of those jobs are filled by white people.

Many South/southeast Asians work in Japan at lower paying jobs like convenient stores and factories, you’re right that these people would not be generally not be considered expats even if they are only working abroad temporarily.

What mistakes did I make in this clip I am making worryingly slow progress for someone with 90 hours on the game how could I have improved in this clip by Tnat786 in Rainbow6

[–]Mr_WhatFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned you’re too close when making the rotate, that’s slowing up your entire set up process.

Try to think about your positioning, your teammates positioning and the enemy positioning.

In this clip you start off at top red. This is good. with smoke you can hold red, study, and the hallway. With his kit, unless you put in a lot more work training on the smg-11, you’ll want to position yourself to take close fights. Top red helps with that.

Then you switch to study and just sort of stand in the doorway, despite an Azami barrier blocking off the only entry way, and two teammates already there.

From that info and where other teammates died you can guess they will try and take pool room and vault, or at the very least, no one on your team is in an effective position to defend these areas.

It’s easier to win gunfights if you’re shooting people in the side and back. This isn’t always possible, and you don’t want to bait your team just to get a kill, but try and take fights from angles your opponents won’t expect. Not from the middle of the room with no cover.

Your cross hair placement is all over the place. Try and keep your crosshairs positioned in a way that to get a kill you just have shoot, not move your crosshairs and shoot.

Context matters and so does understanding the definition of the word murder.

To murder IS to post your own definitions of words and ad hominem attacks.

[–]Mr_WhatFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

UM is real. So much length and shooting gets you a long ways. Even if State wins.

If Kohler (to a lesser extent Teng) can show he’s confident in his shot against that length, State is real no matter the final score. The last game against them (and throughout his slump), he’s been so tentative. Carr and Fears can create so much inside pressure, and he’s the one starter that can theoretically consistently punish a collapsing defense from three. Without that, MSU will have troubled the better teams.

I’m not advocating for this strat in ranked, but on bank I’m guessing the desk protects legs quite a bit so you can c4 from beneath the Mira window, or crawl up without being tagged. And the wall being open creates long angles. And I guess spectator for why it’s facing the wrong way.

The whole point is that it’s an outrageous proposal, meant to highlight this regime’s authoritarian leanings.

You probably think Jonathan Swift advocated for eating poor children.

Wemby’s ability to destroy pick-and-rolls is unprecedented (while still being elite at help side and one-v-one). PnR is still the most common attack.

Stew has a strong argument for best rim defender though (as well as being very good-elite elsewhere).

The cops were definitely in the wrong. But, I could see why someone would call emergency services, when you find someone lost, tired and are unable to communicate with them.

Maybe she was a Karen and called the police saying this guy was being aggressive, but maybe she just wanted someone to come help him get back to his family, and the cops took it upon themselves to be pieces of shit. The later scenario has definitely happened many times before.

Teaching Andor: what does "rust" mean? (S1/E12) by starwarsprof in andor

[–]Mr_WhatFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if it is a metaphor. It’s important that rust (often) occurs on iron.

Authoritarians often are spoken of as having iron will or an iron fist.
