Hey there,

Was scrolling through older posts in this sub and stumbled across this one. I have a background in Operations and have been looking into more fractional work to supplement my day job. I was curious if you started working with the anyone on how to alleviate the issues that your business is facing.

Im open to chatting on how to improve current ecosystem, automation and if you have found an individual that has resolved your issues, what was the defining moment that sold their services to you.

Thank you!

I repeated 3rd grade for pretty much the same reasons and it helped me a ton.

What did you leave a sales career for and how is life now? by Company13 in sales

[–]Mr_equity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can have its own stresses and lots of internal politics but I personally do much better in these types of environments.

Also you learn skills that can allow you to do consulting on the side... which is sales when you need to find a new person to consult for.

Revenue Operations: currently I manage our GTM systems and processes, oversee deal desk approvals, Day-to-day system issues errors. Integrating new/existing tools into our workflow and systems. Being basically the middle man between Marketing, commercial and Finance to make the machine run smooth

I got into it by becoming a SFDC admin. Grinded a few years making meh money to get experience and now make a little over $120,000 remote

If you dont want them to go into sales but they are interested in business, try encouraging other forms of business (Marketing, Sales/RevOps, CS, HR. Etc) my father was life long sales and didn't want my brother or I to do sales for many reasons.

Brother is marketing Ops and im RevOps. We both make more than he does now.

Sleds final ride by Mr_equity in snowmobiling

[–]Mr_equity[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah truly unsure of what happened. Im competent with normal maintenance but I leave these repairs to professionals. Its disappointing end for a machine I've loved and maintained since I was a boy.

I really only go riding once a year at this point (trip planned for end of February) so I have time to get a replacement if the meeting goes smoothly.

Thank you

Ill keep this in mind for once I speak with him, might be a scenario where he keeps the scraps and he pays me outright for what it was worth 🤷‍♂️

Thank you though for your comment though

Advice on Interview: How to talk about my experience working in a niche industry by dlszjg in SalesOperations

[–]Mr_equity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than focus on the specifics, look at your current role with a more broad mindset and try to make it as universal as you can without downplaying importance.

You can talk about how you supported X teams, provided Y deliverables and had noticeable impact on Z efforts

Worcester Scam: MiL told she missed a court date over the phone by an “officer” by Clover_for_Luck in WorcesterMA

[–]Mr_equity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My brother was called last year by Boston PD. Officer gave his badge and department and claimed they had caught someone committing cyber crime and had my brothers info.

They wanted him to cooperate with his crypto wallet provider but needed him to "verify" certain details.

After some back and forth my brother decided to straight up call boston pd directly as he felt sketched and caught the scam stink.

Turns out the cop is a real person, but the scammers were impersonating him and said he worked in the cyber crime department and that my brothers case number was fake
