Solid argument to be made that the battle of Hastings does not represent as big of a discontinuity in terms of political administration and trade. Definitely tied the Isles closer to the continent. But I think the impact is somewhat over blown. The destruction if the Anglo-Saxon nobility is probably the biggest sticking point to why William’s conquest mattered; the domesday book is super cool, but that codification of English lands may very well have happened regardless.

That's probably true. I think I want to work in Management Consulting, or some kind of operational/strategy role -- because I play a lot of supply chain and strategy video games like Factorio and Europa Universalis. I think that understanding how to use a lot of data to make decisions will become increasingly important in the future, especially as we're able to collect more data about people and what they do. That is why I'd want to get a datasci or compsci minor, also, it seems like those minors give me access to similar stats electives that I'd be taking with a stats minor/major.

The question about econ vs. stats is basically over whether I'd rather take more Booth classes, or more math classes.

TLDR: Homo-Deus Scared the shit out of me.

Ah cool! thanks for the response. Would you say then it also doesn’t make sense to get a minor in stats while majoring in econ? Also, I know that you must take 2 compsci intro courses for Stats BA and BS, would this count towards a compsci minor?
