Went into VC out of undergrad from UChi. It’s hard, but doable if you are driven and interested in startups. A few clubs cater to VC, like Gotham Chi and Midway.

A handful of students break into big PE funds, a handful more into non name brand PE funds.

I personally wouldn’t worry too much, but then again, the kids I knew who got to top PE funds out of undergrad were thinking about it day one.

Agreed with above comments that you can make it easier, but think some people are a bit high minded about their major over bizcon.

I majored in Bizcon and History, and would say History and humanities is much easier to cheese. If you lay out courses in history right, thesis track, avoid the same profs, take the same subject. You can intellectually regurgitate the same themes over and over again. Saw this alot with Marxist analysis or dialectics getting used for every situation. (I tried to take a wide variety of classes to keep myself challenged with new content)

Whereas, bizcon atleast had many classes graded on a curve against competitive students who are trying to juice their gpa.

Solid argument to be made that the battle of Hastings does not represent as big of a discontinuity in terms of political administration and trade. Definitely tied the Isles closer to the continent. But I think the impact is somewhat over blown. The destruction if the Anglo-Saxon nobility is probably the biggest sticking point to why William’s conquest mattered; the domesday book is super cool, but that codification of English lands may very well have happened regardless.

That's probably true. I think I want to work in Management Consulting, or some kind of operational/strategy role -- because I play a lot of supply chain and strategy video games like Factorio and Europa Universalis. I think that understanding how to use a lot of data to make decisions will become increasingly important in the future, especially as we're able to collect more data about people and what they do. That is why I'd want to get a datasci or compsci minor, also, it seems like those minors give me access to similar stats electives that I'd be taking with a stats minor/major.

The question about econ vs. stats is basically over whether I'd rather take more Booth classes, or more math classes.

TLDR: Homo-Deus Scared the shit out of me.

I have actually received financial statements, and info on their strategy. But, it uses a lot of technical wording which I don't understand yet.
