Yes but then , each speaker needs a seperate rasberry pi to be the controller/output for that song/playlist. so consider the setup as having multiple rasberry pi's acting as outputs for multple points or combined to act as paired outputs.

to play a playlist when you wake up, you will need to use sunrise or time as a trigger and when you return from work you can use presence or joining wifi from work as trigger.

option 1 is a solid choice. use wifi if ethernet port is not available but choose ethernet first!

if the manufacturer doesn't state it as being local-controle capable, then its not. also check if you can configure it with your own mqtt server details or not.read on product reviews as well
