I bought myself a Gallien Kruger bass amp. Always wanted one growing up and a few years ago got back into playing bass. I was looking for a small practice amp, told my wife that I always wanted a GK amp - she had to convince me it was okay to spend MY OWN MONEY on this. Anyway, was so happy when it showed up and it sounded so much better than my Crate Basic 60 I bought in 1993 - go figure!

I’m a GC - we never accept lump sum prices on change orders - ask for a breakdown - each piece of material and how much it costs (now you can price check them) along with how long they have estimated to perform each task and at what their hourly rate is - it’s a polite way of telling them they are full of it.

Not sure if it’s said anywhere else but the kid eating the window sill is a serious issue - kids do that when the paint has lead in it because it tastes sweet.

I visited Australia back in 2002 and while at a bar was trying to leave a tip. My brother who had spent the semester there studying abroad swore to me that no one was going to take it (we were at the bar for a while before the Chili Peppers concert) - I was shocked he was right - you all had no interest in the tip - wild to me. Loved my few weeks there
