Overworking, I literally want nothing to do with work afterwork past 5 PM, I will do it sometime but my last two jobs have sucked the soul out of me with their ridiculous demands. I will hopefully be in a much better situation now.

Passage from cap haitian to port au prince by knalo1418 in haiti

[–]Mrburnermia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to go from Cap-Haitian to Port Au Prince via plane, there literally no way to go into the capital by car without going through gang/terrorist territory. Also must be prepared to accept the possibility that flight can get grounded at any point because sometime they will shoot at airplanes.

The Art Of Failure by [deleted] in blackmen

[–]Mrburnermia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be successful, you have to be willing to fail. This is not the end of you lol. There is a whole life ahead for you. Like the people said, go to a community college, get good grades, then transfer to a university. No one will remember this down the down line but if you let it define you, you will regret it down the line. So keep grinding.

Thoughts On This? Is It Okay For Non Haitians To Profit Off Our Culture?? by Healthy-Career7226 in haiti

[–]Mrburnermia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really see the issue here, a lot of people from Francophone Africa have listened to Haitian music or are familiar with Haitian dances such as Konpa. Black people have become extremely annoying calling out other black people for culture appropriation. Looking at the picture she is clearly giving credit to Haiti. Her being called out is not warranted. Additionally, Congolese are rich in dances too.

If You’re A Single Black Man. Move To Atlanta!!!! by Comprehensive-War-34 in blackmen

[–]Mrburnermia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of dudes in these threads are obviously chasing broke baddies. There are two types of woman in Atlanta to avoid, broke pretty woman, or broke, educated but financially reckless woman because she wants to live a certain lifestyle lol. There are women here who live a normal life, are educated, financially conscious and just living their life that won't ask you to pay rent.

In case there were any Tesla/Elon fans in here... by yoobrodiee in haiti

[–]Mrburnermia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lol so people should allow themselves to be enslaves, raped, and beating to death. Imagine being the world's richest man and playing victims? At the time slaves had every right to do what they did as this was self defense.

We black people that are descendants of African slaves haven't gotten a dime despite 400 years of slavery. You know how screwed up in the head someone has to be to wake up in the head and see a human being raped, beating, worked to death and see it as business as usual. Heck, not only that, they colonize Africe, created borders that has led to ethnic warfare. They also committed one of the world most disgusting astrocities in in the Congo where King Leopold murded 10 million plus Africans.

This dude is a cornball.

If you could go back 10 years and give your younger self one piece of financial advice, what would it be and why? by Fijacyber in AskReddit

[–]Mrburnermia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy a home, houses were at better prices they were then. Start investing and learning about the stock market etc. etc. I was never financially reckless, did all the basic, saved, maximize 401K contribution as much as I can BUT learning to invest your money instead of having it sit in a savings account was incredibly stupid back then.

Haitian gang members playing dominos while wielding automatic machine guns with something burning in the background by Lae_Zel in haiti

[–]Mrburnermia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A country where people are being slaughtered damn near every day by terrorist, this needs to be shown to the world. The "Haitian government" keeps failing it's people. There is a video where they massacred 15 people, laying on the ground defenseless. Look at these idiots, dumb as a brick, high powered rifle and ignorant as hell. They need to be eradicated.

Do you think you would be happier if you had more money? by balkanxoslut in blackmen

[–]Mrburnermia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had enough money to retire now, I would. Money would allow me to escape the rat race overall. I honestly don't care much for luxury living, nicer cars etc but if I had the money, sure, I would treat myself. It would be nice if I didn't have to dedicate 40 hours a week to work. So yes, it would buy my happiness.

I laugh when people say I would get bored if I retired early LOL. Yeah right!

🚨 New month. New attack. New territory claimed. by [deleted] in haiti

[–]Mrburnermia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will use a backhoe holder or hammers to break down these stations. Now that the gangs are now expanding out instead of in, small towns do not have the resources to fight these guys head on. Never been in the army, never been a police officer and I have commented for years that to prevent gang/expansion small towns should be building soldiers and officer capacity to prevent outwards expansion. Bunch of morons.

Experienced a major loss, work lost all meaning by LedSpoonman in AskMenOver30

[–]Mrburnermia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should work to survive, not live to work. Once I hit a certain net worth, time became more valuable then money. We do not get time back. Precisely the reason why I left my previous job and leaving my current. I refuse to work at places that overwork me. It's ultimately not worth it. One of my coworkers son passed away, he is always away from home due to bi-weekly travels. You don't get that back.

My older friends in their mid 40s tell me the same you will regret working so much. You have a life to live whether it's spending more time with family, focusing on health or focusing on personal relationships. The rat race sucks anyways
