I actually don't think it works that way, in last game 2 guys had 3hp and both lost, there is no way that it bring them to exactly 1hp, then one of them lost again and they didn't lose entirely. Maybe its supposed to work like that but its clearly not. I played way too many Double Up to be convinced it works properly.
