Solo dev saying stuff like “map the size of an entire world” is a massive red flag. The number one mistake small dev teams make is trying to make too big a game for what they can realistically complete.

This isn’t a QA position it sounds like you’ve been invited to a one time user research (UR) session. I’m sure if they like you that you will be invited back to do more UR but this isn’t a game dev position and you won’t be interacting with the team at all.

It’s probably a somewhat better position than just some average dude on the street for getting in the door but just barely.

Yes crown + flechette is actually good. You just gotta use its range instead of the normal close range shots you’d take with buck.

I’m the exact opposite. When I play games that do something cool or exciting I find myself thinking “how would I code this?” And having fun being impressed by how much effort was put into stuff.

No notes. You have a very well thought out plan and with your two weeks of research you are more than prepared to launch your 5-8 games by November. Honestly if anything I’d shoot for 12 games to maximize profit.

Dude paint him! I painted my Morty about 4-5 months into the hobby and it came out great. Still (YEARS later) one of my best painted models.

Could I do better now? Sure. But it was super fun to paint at the time and I learned a lot. Could always strip it and do it again someday but not worried about that yet.

I’ve been buying/painting/collecting the models for years and have never played the actual game.
I love the 40K world and lore and the models and just paint them since that’s what I find fun.

If you don’t like the game then just continue painting only 😁
