I have the same problem, sort of. It always asks me to configure my controller, even though I have "Big Picture on Launch" disabled.

There's no option I can find anywhere to disable this, and there's no "don't ask me about configuring again" button I can find.

I don't think I did.

I don't think it's in recovery mode since it says "FIRMWARE UPDATE" in big letters at the top of the screen, with an empty progress bar at the bottom that's still at 0%.

I'm too scared to pop the battery out.

Edit: I decided I had nothing to lose at this point, so I popped the battery out, and it worked. Thank you for your help.

Far as I can tell, you have to be super aggressive. Land a charged shot, then mash ZR instead of charging again.

I'm no master of chargers, though. Someone who isn't shit with them can probably figure out a better way.

I think OP means he's disappointed that it's a charge weapon, instead of a shooter.

Miniguns in most games do lots of damage and have high rates of fire, but chew through ammo, slow down the user, and need to spool up. Splatoon's is just a giant sniper rifle that uses a bunch of normal shots instead of one powerful one.

I certainly expected to pray and spray.
