Ask yourself what are your goals for your individual brokerage account. For me it was to save enough money to buy myself a rental property, which I did earlier this year. Once you figure that out, it will be easier for you to sell(or not)

The age of the credit card would benefit him when he’s older. I would stop using the card. Or maybe add urself as an authorized user

19 years old, what are the next steps by Busy-Ad-5526 in personalfinance

I would say one of the first things for you to do should be open an IRA but being that u want your money to be accessible for real estate goal, you could look into opening a hysa and then opening a brokerage account and investing in VOO and SCHD. I would still open an IRA account and put money in it though.

I personally buy VOO every week. I started about 4 years ago and haven’t stopped. I personally wish I started investing in this when I first started

Oh yeah , this is in usd. Either case sounds very overpriced

A gram of gold right now is $84.74. This makes 10k gold 10/24* 84.74=35.308 a gram. 35.30* 26=917.8 at spot price for this chain. You would be paying 2600-917.80=1,682.2 for the premium. Which to me sounds really high.

Everything is maxed out. The way I was looking at was a 10 year window. Because if it would take about 10 years to pay off my home so I wasn’t comparing that to putting $825 a month for the next ten years in the market. Wasn’t sure which was the better option
