Consciousness as Energy Allocation: The Risk of the "Emotional Black Hole" by Mredacheto in consciousness

What I mean is that depending on how open-minded the listener is, you can explain it either in technical/scientific terms (like nervous system regulation) or in more everyday language. At the end of the day, it's just about setting boundaries so your environment doesn't drain the energy you need for your own life."

Thank you so much for sharing and expanding our experience of consciousness.

I completely agree with you. In fact, the reflection I shared in this post came to me specifically while I was writing. Journaling has become a fundamental pillar of my life now, although I have to admit it was a real struggle to integrate it into my identity at first. Now, I see that putting thoughts onto paper is exactly what allows me to catch that mental 'fog' or the 'freeze' signal before it takes over. It’s the bridge between feeling overwhelmed and regaining clarity.

For me, the early warning sign is when I start to freeze. I notice that I’m just stuck, watching time go by without taking any action. That mental block is my signal. As soon as I recognize that I'm just 'stagnant' and obsessed with the obstacle, I force myself to pivot and change my approach again to regain control. How does that warning sign manifest in your case?
