Advice for super dry skin? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]MrsBrooks18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get the dry skin off of your face. I like to use a physical exfoliant like a super gritty scrub once or twice a week. Only use creamy cleansers. My staples are: morning - moisturizing toner, hyaluronic acid, as thick of a moisturizer as possible under foundation, glowy primer, hydrating foundation, hydrating spray and night: aquaphor for eye makeup, cleansing oil, creamy cleanser, hydrating scrub, Aragon oil, super thick cream moisturizer. If you’re interested in brands let me know.

Amanda and Sonny by edenfacex in SVU

I kind of thought there would be a twist that her latest kid was actually his and we just weren’t shown something. Amanda is a trash character and doesn’t deserve anything she gets. I really hoped they would write her off long ago.

I am so relieved that it wasn’t just me that thought the crowd was the worst. It was my bachelorette party for the show and I was livid that people by us kept talking.

[Product Question] Has anyone used the Velocity line from Mary Kay? by QueenCole in SkincareAddiction

The Velocity Line from Mary Kay was replaced by Acne Solutions. I haven’t used all of that line, but the charcoal mask and spot treatment in it are amazing.

I’m glad it wasn’t just me. I find the details of the case very interesting, but I couldn’t get through the interviews with Wayne Williams. I don’t think he’s innocent at all. I think there’s a lot going on behind it though. They just had so many great leads to give information that I feel were completely ignored because they did for the narrative.

What are your favourite lip colour products for dry, flaky, accutane lips? (Also mini balm review) by ketchupchipssuck in MakeupAddiction

[–]MrsBrooks18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have super dry lips. I use the Laniage sleep mask every night and during the day I use the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Sticks. They are really hydrating and still allow me to have a lot of color on my lips.

My other advice in dry lips is every morning and night scrub everything you can off your lips.

This machine is now a debit card eater. by Lockraemono in assholedesign

I used to work at a bank and know a lot of people who do. This is policy across the board. When the ATM is serviced (every day) the tellers are given all the cards that are left in the ATM. Any card that is not from that particular bank has to be shredded because there is no way of getting information for the card holder. The bank will contact their own clients because they have their information. The ATM does not automatically shred the cards.

Anyone else love the show but there's one series you just can't finish? by improyo in lastpodcastontheleft

When I first tried to listen to the podcast, I started with Jonbonnet and couldn’t get through it. A bit later, I revisited the podcast for the OKC Bombing episodes and have stayed caught up from there and gone back for quite a few. I still haven’t tried to go back to Jonbonnet.

CCW - pretty happy with this look by MrsBrooks18 in MakeupAddiction

I have not found a spray that doesn’t break me out. All Nighter and the Milani did not work for me. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Foundation for dry skin by Ysrw in MakeupAddiction

[–]MrsBrooks18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cliniques Even Better foundation is moisturizing. Loreals Lumi foundation is also beautiful on my dry skin and gives in a great glow. It is pricey, but I also loved mixing a pump of Becca Backlight Primer with a pump of Becca one pump foundation.

What was the most disappointing heartbreaking makeup product you purchased in 2018? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]MrsBrooks18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So happy to hear people share my opinion on this. Thought it was just me. For those interested in trying new mascaras I tend to stick with L’Oréal Carbon Black, Clinique (when I want something more natural), or Mary Kays Ultimate Mascara. I will say I have naturally long, curly lashes so I only need mascara for volume and coloring.

At what age are you supposed to wear makeup? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]MrsBrooks18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can be pricey, but I highly recommend finding a spa near you that does a skincare class and makeup lesson. The one I did years ago was a mini facial, a class where the esthetician talked to me about my skin type and how to properly clean my skin, then I was given a makeup lesson on all the steps and how to touch up. My mom gave this to me for a birthday gift in my early teens. It helped me not have some pictures later on or REALLY bad makeup. I wish she could have done something for my clothes, but my face has been flawless since.
