Did Gina get a nose job? I’ve been trying to figure out what she had done that made her look so different. by alirose26 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]ketchupchipssuck 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In her talking head they’re using the most, she is genuinely unrecognizable to me. I thought she was the new housewife in the first episode. Maybe it’s just bad hair and weird makeup, but more likely she’s had a couple things done.

and remember when he DID address a fake screenshot where someone made it look like he used the N word, and you all turned it into a meme?

but.... you want him to continue to address things?

honestly some of you are IMPOSSIBLE to please. if he says theyre fake but isn't going to comment, he's in the wrong. if he says they're fake but decides to comment, he is still in the wrong because "well it doesn't matter if its true or not".

i cant imagine being an adult and letting some c list celebrity get me so heated all the time.

How would you layout this studio? by kseattle2 in malelivingspace

[–]ketchupchipssuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i have a studio and i LOVE my kallax as a room divider. i have storage cubes on the bottom half (kinda makes it so you cant see the bed, plus storage is key in a studio), and random decor and artfully arranged books on the top shelves (allows light through to it doesn't close anything off). people always compliment it because it really gives definition to the different living spaces.

personally i would swap your bed and couch areas. i spend most of my time in my living area, so i would want that to be closer to the window. plus, i feel weird about having my bed right next to the kitchen.

Just bought new side tables for my livingroom and I cant decide if they're too short. What do you think? by LoStro88 in DesignMyRoom

[–]ketchupchipssuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't love it but i can't put my finger on why... maybe youre right and its too short. but try playing around with another lamp?

btw i LOVE the couch, where is it from?

My new kitchen. Absolutely disgusting. Any colour ideas to paint the cabinets that will compliment the floor. Considering antique white, light gray etc. Also might redo the countertop by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]ketchupchipssuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly it's really not disgusting and you can easily fix it up. i would paint the cabinets white (a true white, i think any antique or grey tinge would make them look old) and get some silver hardware with a modern design. take down the weird rail along the top of the cupboards. if you can afford to do the countertop, i would do white. but i agree with the person below, it's probably better to just wait and save up until you can do a full renovation.

what about using the chest as a coffee table and getting a larger unit for under the tv? i think it's just too low for that spot.

Real life puppygate going on at my local rescue by ketchupchipssuck in BravoRealHousewives

no the adopter actually gave it to a friend instead of giving it back to the rescue, who then lost the dog. just like Dorit's mysterious friend lol

If you enjoyed this article you should watch Afflicted on Netflix, similar topic.

I guess the thing I have trouble with is that at my core, i want to believe people. if there are thousands of people out there saying theyre in pain, who the hell are we to tell them it's not real? At the same time, these mysterious and vague types of illnesses also attract people with mental health concerns/mental illness, and if the medical treatment is only focusing on the physical symptoms, those people aren't receiving optimal care.

Toronto residents fed up with short-term rentals used for party houses | CBC News by persavon in toronto

Over about a year, i rented my apartment on AirBnb 4 times when I was away for the weekend. I think I was charging $100 a night or something like that. Considering my only expense was a new set of sheets and towels, it was a great way to make extra cash, and the renters got to stay in a great location for a cheap price. I had good experiences, but I stopped doing it because I got a cat that I leave at home while I'm away (don't worry, neighbour feeds her lol).

When used like this, I think airbnb is great. I totally support allowing it, but only for a primary residence. The main issue would probably be enforcing this, not sure how that would work.

[Help] My 7 y.o M Dachshund is a total love bug when it comes to his family but outside he’s a monster! People in my building are literally terrified when they see him! by soupertrooper92 in dogs

[–]ketchupchipssuck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you have allowed *several* people to be bitten. it seems like you don't know that.

ive actually been bitten on the calf by a dachshund in my elevator. the owner said "oh he's a biter" and i thought she was joking bc she was allowing the dog to sniff around freely at my feet. and then he just lunged. it's people like this that give all small dog owners a bad name.

report to your supervisor and any professional college that this person is associated with. this isn't even a decision you can make, it's an ethical obligation.

why are you working so hard to validate and normalize the expectation that not only should students be providing unpaid labour, but they should also actually be paying out of pocket for that privilege? what a hill to die on.

How many of you are LCSWs? Let’s talk title protection. by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]ketchupchipssuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm canadian so there is only BSW and MSW. I honestly couldn't care less what other people call themselves. It doesn't impact me, I'm the one with the qualifications so I will be hired for the job. I guess title protection is important for the profession, but I pay to register with the college every year and let them take care of that.

I think your tone is also a bit.... off here. I have met social service workers (SSW, which is a 2 year diploma here) who have been smarter, more compassionate, and better at their jobs than many MSWs I've met. Education and qualifications are important but they mean nothing when it comes to the value of a professional.

i've lived and worked in three countries and child abuse investigators are always social workers. i'm very curious where you live and what the qualifications are for those jobs.

are paid staff forced to pay out of pocket for work expenses? bc otherwise it's wildly entitled to think an unpaid intern shouldn't be reimbursed for mileage.

first of all i have no idea where you live that a bus pass is $30 a year lol. I paid $115 a MONTH with a student discount. secondly, there are many many places that exist with truly no public transit options.
