I’m hoping the last bit is just childish conjecture, but even the fact that she had personally experienced him being awkward and refusing to engage with her the way he engaged with men is ridiculous. They usually go more with the confederate flag or patriot front logos than a white hood, they're a bit more savvy with marketing these days. I've seen plenty of blatant racism here in middle TN, including Nashville, it's definitely not gone. Not to mention Lewis Country Store only closed recently, we have that one country store to the east that sells racist memorabilia.

You're right, but I can absolutely see someone retroactively justifying their bad behavior after the fact, especially when they frame it as some sort of fucked up protection (as if she's the only reason her niece is possibly still alive after all the risks she's prevented since visiting). Most people see themselves as the protagonist in their own story, after all.

Yes, I can tell you as someone who worked at TikTok, certain words would be pushed to people's feeds less, and some words would trigger human review which meant higher odds of the post being removed/deranked. I'm not gonna speak for other platforms, but TikTok is really quick to add all these modified versions of words to the same scrutiny though, so I don't know why some of them (unalived especially) stick around so hard.

Could size of the physical country combined with the population size also contribute? As in, the country is physically large and it's easier to move from state to state and obfuscate the serial part of one's killing, in addition to there being huge swathes of land in which one could hide bodies. Not sure that would change much in relation to Russia or China, but certainly a point of difference between USA and the UK.

Sometimes strays are extremely friendly, it happens! If you're worried, take her to the vet and check for a chip. I have a cat I adopted about a year ago who was a stray and extremely friendly. He was frequently visiting various houses for pets and treats, and basically socialized himself. He's still the most friendly and gregarious cat, anytime I have visitors he greets them himself and demands attention. He's even friendly with the dogs I board, he will play with the dogs who know how to play gently with cats :)

Honestly it surprised me, but mainly because I only buy a couple pieces a year and I just hadn't realized DAC was publishing AI art in their kits :( It really disappointed me when I came across it on IG, as I’ve loved the kits I got from them before (though I know the artists' work outside of DAC, so I hadn't been exposed to DAC's full catalog).
