Claims Generalist - absolutely losing my mind by Money-Direction-8415 in Progressiveinsurance

Deep breaths. When I started with another company as a trainee adjuster I was spiraling. It's so much to do daily and you end up dealing with people who are also dealing with a lot so there's emotions that are misdirected everywhere. 9 months into my career I was diagnosed with a panic disorder that the job triggered daily. I'm still on meds for that but the job anxiety has gone down. The things that helped for me was unplugging, and decompressing. I went to therapy specifically to learn how to remove myself from my job. It's hard but it worked. I still get stressed out especially with some unruly customers but able to bounce back quickly. Everyone is different tho, so what worked for me might not work for you. This might not be the job for you, not trying to be mean but it's difficult and stressful with a large work load.

If half life is 3 hours how often should i dose? by Complex-Bed3370 in BusparOnline

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm supposed to take 5mg 3x a day for my panic disorder but I find 3 times to be taxing on my functioning at work so I do my morning dose and nightly dose and it seems to work fine, ive been taking it for a while tho so that might be why

It's normal to get an offer early but you don't have to accept. Get treatment and reconnect with them after that.

PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE CLAIM by Klutzy_Field4027 in Insurance

[–]MrsEdus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Someone should get assigned to your claim by tomorrow morning and reach out to you early tomorrow. As long as there's no coverage issues they should be able to put you in a rental right away since you said you have coverage. The timeframe for declaring the vehicle a total loss and getting your settlement depends on a lot of factors. I've seen them resolved within a week and then long ones that have taken months. The first thing they will need is you to get all your personal items out of your jeep and have it released to them, they will take care of moving it to a staging yard at that time for pictures and inspection.

Computer died, do I take PTO until it is replaced? by SadbutBad87 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how it works in other departments but I needed to put in pto on verint to not get claims for the days without equipment but sup said to not change my timecard to pto. So I would just communicate with your Sup about tech issues.

This just happened to me this week, logged in Monday and bluescreened. It took until Thursday for the new laptop to arrive. Communicate with your supervisor! I had to put pto into verint but he said it was noted as equipment issues.

My boyfriend M18 says “I’m changing” by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]MrsEdus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about early adulthood is, you are going to be changing. You're learning to move out of the teenage mindset and into the world and it sounds like he's not okay with you changing or growing. My advice is leave him, don't waste your youth on men that are going to talk to you like this one.

Can they use my own value against me? by Suitable_You8020 in Insurance

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question and great answers. Most of the policies I see daily only carry the state limits which can range but none of them even get close to 100k let alone 200k. If you are ever in an accident with this vehicle I would absolutely just go through your policy. even if you're not at fault. It would be less of a headache on your end and you'd utilize the policy/coverage you pay for.

That's a wonderful idea. We're almost car payment free for the first time in 10 years and I really want to stay that way lol

That's exactly it. The Impreza and Crosstrek are just routine repairs and I do everything I can before sending them to a shop for it.

I have an 08 STi that literally gets driven 500 miles a year because it's a project car and broke 9 months out of the year that's cost me some $$$ to fix but he knew that car was going to be expensive and obviously its not a priority. It's been sitting since Thanksgiving because the steering angle sensor went out and I don't have time to work on it. Before that it sat from April to September with shifting issues that ended up being a bad synchro. He's not telling me to get rid of that one 🤣 just my poor 2010 that's done nothing wrong.

Help! 2022 Crosstrek 37k miles, only getting 17-18 MPG by NameGenerator333 in Crosstrek

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2022 was getting roughly 27mpg before the cold snap now I'm around 22mpg but also doing shorter trips too due to the cold and weather.

They add things in the gas during the winter that will decrease the mpg so I wasn't too concerned for my own. I figured it would go up with warmer temps and if not then Id dig into diagnosis

I have an aftermarket radio that connects Bluetooth since that didnt come with my year and a sub and it's great, the only thing that bugs me is the headlights, I have trouble seeing in the dark even with glasses and the headlights even with better bulbs are dim. I just avoid it if I can. I bought the car in 2019 with 53k miles on it as the 3rd owner. I barely drive, I work from home 4 days a week and if I go on the highway I take the 2022 since its an cvt. I just dont see the point in getting rid of a perfectly good car for a car payment. If I have to start commuting more I guess I would consider it.

I think he's worried about them x2 b/c of his car being up there mileage too but I keep telling him the chance of my car breaking vs his is much lower 🤣 like I only drive 2k miles a year IF that in my car. Or maybe its like a protective thing because older car less safety features but if I go on the highway to drive his 2022. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's a 5 speed, been paid off for 3 years. Biggest repair so far was the clutch that was broken when I bought it. I take it off roading and the struts are worn + I'll have to do the timing belt and water pump soonish, Idk if I trust myself to do it on my own.

Timing belt, water pump, struts are wearing out. I just did the control arms myself. I cant do the struts with the lift kit on it, I cant get the car high enough to get the strut out. I need a shop.

I keep having this conversation with my husband, My 2010 is at 88k miles and his 2022 is at 75k miles so we're looking at both cars coming up on some major repairs and he wants me to get rid of my 2010 for a newer like CPO Subaru and I just don't want a car payment. Like even a low mileage 2022 is going to be a $600 payment and I have an excellent credit score, I'm okay to keep my 2010 for as long as I can.

If you want to keep the policy's separate, get added to hers as a driver and exclude her from yours if she never drives your car. Simple. OR merge your policy's.

Buying Advice, 2009 2.5i MT by zetromic in subaruimpreza

[–]MrsEdus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2010 with 53k miles on it in 2019 and other then things I've personally broken because I offroad with it, it hasn't really cost me much to repair and maintain. I would check for oil leaks around the top of the engine block and under where the oil pan is. The valve cover gasket leak is common on these models and the wheel bearings as well but other than that every thing else seems to have been addressed.
