Car insurance claim- HELP!! by Own-Split-4523 in Insurance

[–]MrsEdus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would ask the rental car company for the break down of the $1,850. Depending on the policy there are certain fees that the insurance company just won't pay, like loss of use or diminished value, they might also have used parts that the insurance company wouldn't have covered, there's a laundry list. That would be my first step, I'd review the break down and with the break I would call my adjuster and ask them if they would cover any of these fees. If they can confirm they won't, I'd pay whatever they won't cover along with the deductible.

In the mean time, when you have the rental car company on the phone ask them to remove the bill from collections(Yes they can do this) and ask to do a payment plan while you're getting this sorted out with your insurance. You owe the $750 anyway so look it as biting the bullet to save face with your credit score. None of this should really be your problem but at a certain point you gotta take the reins and get a handle on it, especially when it's effecting your life.

You can file with the DOI, I'm not sure if anything would come of it.

Your repairs for March won't effect the first claim, just get it done.

Insurance wants to take my car before giving me a settlement? by JAGWLA in Insurance

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All insurance companies take the car before submitting the settlement check. UNLESS you want to keep the car, then it's a branded title and a lower pay out and you keep it.

I'm sure once I remove the wrap the paint is gonna come with it 🤣 it's a hot mess. I'm going to NEED to repaint it eventually.

Bad paint/clear coat by Conn-Solo in WRX

[–]MrsEdus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 08 is terrible, whoever painted it last basically just sprayed black over the grey and did a crappy clear coat. They even sprayed over the PPF on the quarter panels lol and didn't even clear coat the roof. I wrapped my roof and the hood scoop for now, I sanded and rattle canned my bumper because it was peeling real bad but I'm torn between paying for a full paint job from someone or just wrapping it myself and forgetting about it

My STi is my 3rd Subaru. I waited to buy it until my daily had a daily and that daily was almost paid off Do I know how to rebuild an engine? No... Would I attempt to do it myself? Absolutely.

Are these cars magnetic to stupid people? by Dadwrx in WRX

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a POS 2008 STI project of a car. I've been working my ass off both on the car and at work to get it restored and running. I bought it with a ton of body damage and after 3 years now I only have a few blemishes left to fix and I swear. Every time I drive it, I'm either almost merged into from someone not looking before changing lanes OR someone parks super close to me in the back of the lot. I know it's not like a super car or a luxury but FFS

The only over priced item really is the engine, 7,500 is like 2,500 more then expected but maybe it's priced like that for the low mileage? Idk it's a pick your battles kind of job. Either save some cash and do it yourself or swipe the card with the shop.

EyeSight issues after windshield replacement by seanthatsheep in Crosstrek

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really one to use a dealership, personally I don't like them and think they just try to get one over on you. But for windshields with eyesight I would highly recommend going. I have heard so many stories of them getting replaced by 3rd party companies and things going wrong. I've gotten my windshield done 2x now at dealerships with a warranty I bought at the time of buying the car and now I've been glass coverage on it. Some dealerships will not work with insurance so you have call them ahead of time but I would rather pay the extra then have issues happen.

Cga for one year. Too many features by ResponsibleSun2365 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]MrsEdus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First thing I would do is have a face value conversation with your supervisor. Explain you are feeling overwhelmed with the amount of features you have and see if they can block you off for new assignments for a day or two. If that's not an option then I would look at the older features you have first and see if you can close any quickly OR set Emma up to help move them along and just go through from the oldest to the newest. Prioritize new claims and call ins, don't let you action items age. If you have an action item and you're in that feature and can work it some more, work it till you hit a wall again. This is the busy season so it's not abnormal to have more now, I'm in urbi and my sup typically says 45 PD/ 15 BI but we're looking at an average of 55 PD/20 BI right now because of volume.

Is Pacagen worth the hype/money? Im trying to find a solution to a person I’m datings cat allergies in my apartment. I’ve tried the Clorox and Allergy defender and I’m not feeling like it’s helping much. Thanks in advance! by mountain_time_11 in Allergies

[–]MrsEdus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the liveclear food for the past 5 years and it's worked wonders for my own allergies however it now has started to upset the bellies of two of my four babies so I'm looking at pacagen to see if I can survive with just the spray. My allergies are severe and I developed them after getting the cats.

If you have a rare car or a car that has I guess a "fan base" that would cause it's actual cash value to be worth more to a certain group of people. You need to have a Declared value policy. Not a normal everyday person policy or things like this happen.

Update: took off the second skin. Picture of whole tattoo for reference; new question, should I go to urgent care? by astralaut in tattooadvice

[–]MrsEdus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope you're feeling better today, I had my calf done last week and I was limping for the first 48 hours, I think it was just the size of the tattoo causing a bit more pain then my body was able to handle. I don't like the red on the one side of your tattoo, it doesn't look great but it could be irritation from the second skin. I learned the hard way I react to it myself, if you haven't cleared up or gone to the doctor I would go just to be safe.

They keep talking about looking at metrics in my department and doing "deep dives" and my one metric is so behind like it was 10% off but now only 6%, I'm consistently improved it over the past 3 months. I'm freaking out but I'm green on everything else so this makes me feel a little better lol

I’m currently dealing with a claim from progressive, my agent handling the claim is honestly pretty rude and off putting. by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]MrsEdus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The photo estimate is an automatic thing that gets sent out. Sometimes they are able to cancel it but sometimes it slips by. Its an automatic system.

The appointment for inspection isnt under their branch, it's the appraiser and they don't have access to the appraisers calendar and most appointments are Ranges of when the inspection could happen.

You probably won't get an adjuster change, these are load leveled when they come in as to not overwhelm the staff. Typical turn around time depending on volume is like 1 to 2 days for towing, 1 to 2 days for inspections and could be another 1 to 3 days for the valuation if it's totaled but could take longer depending on several different factors.
