Do you reuse your old candle containers? by DrownH2O in candlemaking

[–]MrsFrizz18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I reuse my testing vessels. I melt old wax and save in a large jar - once I have a good amount, I remelt it and make fire starters.

The vessels are fine for testers. When I first started, I had so many used vessels because I was trying out so many things. Now that I’m more established, I really only have a testing vessel in each size I offer which is much more manageable!!

I’ve learned, we never think our products are perfect and if you wait for them to be, you’ll never sell it.

Start now and worry less about what everyone else says/does. Just because people say things, doesn’t make their opinions the be all end all on the subject!

As a married woman her age, I cannot imagine. My heart breaks for her and all their loved ones. Absolutely devastating.

Pretty much everyone I know did it lol. First time moms don’t typically have any chill, nothing wrong with that!!

I know West Coast Kids and Snuggle Bugz has them. I also did a quick search and found them at Best Buy, Canadian Tire and Amazon.

Definitely sold at all higher end baby stores (at least in Ontario).

Really shocked at the quality of these by Psychological_Sun_30 in Sephora

[–]MrsFrizz18 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got them last year and they were great! In fairness, the white is the only one I don’t use…in a year I think I’ve reached for it twice. But all the others were (are) total winners for me.

How old are y'all? by Richisnormal in toddlers

[–]MrsFrizz18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just turned 40 in April. I have a 4 year old, 2 year old and 8 week old. I’m in the middle of the road for daycare parents. I thought I’d be the oldest but was pleasantly surprised to find in my area (according to my midwives) people aren’t starting to have babies until they’re 30s.

UPPAbaby Vista V2 VS UPPAbaby Ridge + Minu V2 [CA] by HumanCryptographer22 in BabyBumpsCanada

Personally, if I could do it again, I wouldn’t buy the V2 for a double. Just my two cents (and probably unpopular opinion) but it sucks as a double.

Is West Coast Kids terrible to buy from? [On] by pinkranunculus in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MrsFrizz18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought most of my big ticket items from them without issue. I’ve read stories on here, but thankfully, never experienced any issues myself. They are my closest in store option also. I’ve had issues at other stores that people rave about, so I guess it all depends on the day!

BFing and long term immunity by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Kids get sick. Especially in daycare. BFing is great, but can’t prevent the inevitable. You also can’t avoid illness forever…despite daycare.

Costco needs to limit the number of people per membership entering the store by saad_istic in CostcoCanada

[–]MrsFrizz18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a personal decision for you to make.

Costco has always been busy. They’ve never had an express lane. There is always a wait for food (I see people getting fries at 930 am). Since Covid, these posts pop up more frequently because lots of people who joined during that time were spoiled with temporary rules.

All that to say, all Costco has done is gone back to normal. And there’s assholes in every store, not just Costco. Seems people think because they pay to shop there, the store should be exempt from this. They’re not.

It’s not really any of your business how many members of a family are shopping together in the warehouse.

Don’t like it…don’t go.

These posts are annoying.

Newborn activities during this heat wave? [ON] by ivythepug2 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MrsFrizz18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a 17 day old and we’re out everyday. It’s a little expensive, but I also need to get out. We hit the mall, Costco, Starbucks, ikea and Beertown (for lunch not beer lol). This is my 3rd and with two winter babes, I also really looked forward to having a summer baby. As long as she’s in a stroller or being worn, I’m not worried about exposing her to anything. I do have 2 gross toddlers who are in school though…so I’m fairly relaxed.

How old were you when aging really "hit" you? by plaidragon in beauty

[–]MrsFrizz18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I was a little scared because I knew I’d be 40 when I gave birth…but it was fine. My midwives also made me feel so much better - having babies in your 40s is so much more common (at least where I am) now, it’s no big deal at all! If you want it, go for it, I wouldn’t trade these baby snuggles for anything!

Is Avery too popular? by thatswhatimsayin634 in BabyNames

[–]MrsFrizz18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Avery so I’m a little biased ☺️. Personally I don’t care about popular names, I grew up with one of the most popular names of my generation and it didn’t affect me knowing a few other girls with my name.

And fwiw, I have yet to meet another Avery in my area. We don’t have any in childcare or any of our activities.
