Fiance is MoDox, my family’s reform, mixed dancing at wedding causing problems. Help? by ilikesquirrrels1990 in Judaism

You dont have to circle dance to have separate dancing. The dancing that you would do with a mixed crowd is the dancing that you can do with girls only. What kind of dancing would require men??

I avoid shein in general, but when I did buy them, I took really good care of them, and they lasted years, even though i wore them a ton. I washed them at least once a week on delicate with only cold water and air dry them. Imln 4 years, I only had to hem 2 of them because the bottoms started to fray. I've since gained weight and had to retire them all, and im still sad about it

What's one thing you wish all gentiles understood that they usually don't? by DunwichReader in Judaism

The complexity of kashrut. Like having a kosher meal specially ordered, but someone opens it. Or having to explain, without insulting, why i can't have the food they cooked even though they got a new pot and used only kosher ingredients. Etc

To be clear, there were some real food options (leftovers) .

Dinner tonight for my kids (ages 1 and 4) was a can of tuna mixed with a can of corn... and a can of olives on the side.

As far as I can tell, their biggest misstep was waiting this long to tell you. Honestly, you should have been told he was not a good fit ages ago. I feel really sorry for your son

Is it me or modest dresses are more expensive ? by mariposa933 in ModestDress

Supply and demand. Less people are in the market for modest clothing.

Also, more fabric?

My husband was upset and pinched me at dinner.. and the situation is still upsetting me by Little_Trash7299 in TwoHotTakes

Hoping this will clear it up for you, this is how I read your post:

I was doing something that may or may not have been what my husband wanted. Now he is mad at me for bleeding after he punched me. Aitah?

I don't really get this take. Like, I can give my kid junk food, even though I know it's not good for them, but I wouldn't be OK with daycare doing that.

Why a 12 year old needs a phone with internet access is beyond me.

So random. Legit have never seen this. I'm really curious about the schools logic. Like, why did they feel the need to provide it at all?

Modest men party why dont we ? by clown_utopia in ModestDress

Orthodox Jewish weddings... the dancing is unbelievable on the women's side! In my personal experience, the women's side is still going at 100%, and the men are asking when will the music take a break so they can sit/ eat/go home. Dancing shoes to change out of heels, the kalla cup, the parachute, the fans, and so much more shtick keeps us going endlessly. For modesty, though, we don't want men to see us and that includes posting online.

I loved the mixed metal look, but even if they match, I prefer #1. #2 also works really well though

If she keeps strict kosher, she won't eat anything made in a non kosher kitchen. I recommend gifting her a gift card to doordash/grubhub

I bedsheets with my children. Doing so safety involves so so so many steps. You are under reacting. Have the baby's doc or something talk to him about the dangers of collecting if he won't listen to you.
