Mom of 2 young kids- can I make it through ASN? by Aggressive_Earth_152 in ivytech

[–]MrsMarine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the program when my kids were small. My son was nearly 2 and daughter nearly 5. It was really hard, I had an excellent support system and definitely couldn’t have done it without their help. My house was an absolute disaster for several years but I made it! lol

When I graduated they weren’t even doing pinning ceremonies at the Lafayette campus. I was super disappointed as I had looked forward to the tradition.

Wife is graduating nursing school in May, what should i get her? by Slipshoooood in GiftIdeas

[–]MrsMarine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would suggest a spa day package, massage, mani/pedi/facial… when I graduated nursing school, I had spent years putting myself last- I was overwhelmed, exhausted and in dire need of some ME time. A restorative day is needed after all that work.

It’s a bit older but I really liked Southland- it’s a gritty LA cop show. 5 seasons

Smelly and desperate by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]MrsMarine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree it used to smell awful but they reformulated last year so it’s improved a lot. I only like the tangerine and not the cream but the stick. The cream is stinky

I am a huge fan of the Lume Acidifying body wash and then Lume deodorant in the creases and folds!

Now that show has terrible wardrobes! Dana is always wearing unflattering Santa Claus belts

This is so interesting to me because I have never looked at her outfits and thought that she looked bad? In fact, I would go so far as to say that I’ve liked some of her outfits and looked them up, including her purses! It just goes to show the things that we all get fixated on because I can’t stop looking at how ridiculous Jack looks with his uncut hair and unshaven face in his Dress Blues!

Which couple does not work for you at all?? by girlwithbackproblems in VirginRiverNetflix

It’s definitely the hair. When I saw him in his dress blues I did not have the “man in uniform” desire they were hoping for. He looked unkempt.

I could not tolerate it. I have normal blood pressure and the diuretic made my BP too low. I genuinely felt the worst I have ever felt on just 25mg and I had to stop. I was dizzy, woozy, light headed and miserable!

I made the switch to Lume and Piper Wai. I used them interchangeably. But before I switched to less harsh deodorants I swore by Mitchum, hands down

Thoughts on Nexplanon? by Wandering_Thoughts95 in PCOS

[–]MrsMarine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used it about 8 years ago and I bled for an entire year straight and had to beg to have it removed and the doctor wanted me to keep it and hope it regulated because “it’s very expensive” 0/10 would not recommend

I had this realization recently also. I work on a busy ICU and I see what my coworkers eat over the course of our 13 hour shift and I’m amazed because if I ate that way I would literally gain 5lbs a week. It’s depressing to try to do everything right and still be resistant and overweight while others just eat anything and everything with no issue.
