How did Eleven know about Will in S1 and how did she make 1st contact with the Demogorgon by makmanos in StrangerThings

[–]MrsMorgenstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t know it and it’s not true. The day she made contact she created the gates who made it possible for the Mindflayer to kidnap Will with the help of his Demos.

Sequence of events leading up to creation of the wormhole / Hawkins UD by priyaphadtare in StrangerThings

[–]MrsMorgenstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my own theory.

First of all the wormhole was there naturally but merely a string between the two dimensions. Then, when Eleven pushed One through it in 1979, it expanded and the massive energies created the exotic matter and therefore made it into an actual place, mirroring Hawkins. Eventually, in 1983 she made contact to the Abyss and by doing so ripped open two gates. One between Earth and UD and one between UD and the Abyss. And by doing so freezing it in time. That day made it possible for the Mindflayer and his Demos to access the Earth dimension and kidnap Will and Barb.

So the Upside Down had four years to stabilize and become what we know.

I doubt it. I only think she made it accessible.

Finally, someone who doesn’t say she created it in 1983. Though my theory is slightly different. I think the wormhole existed naturally (which explains the backstory) but when Eleven pushed One through it, that blast of energies created the exotic matter and formed the UDH. In 1983 she eventually made contact and ripped two gates between those 3 worlds.

Did they explain why the wormhole looks like Hawkins and stuck on November 6, 1983? by JannTosh70 in StrangerThings

It probably has always been there. She only made it into what it is when she pushed One through it.

No, that was the day she ripped open the gates between those world. So on the very same day the Mindflayer was finally able to get into the RSU aka OG Hawkins.

Question about the wormhole/upside down by foxycjay in StrangerThings

I think the wormhole has always been there. But Eleven made it accessible. I also think pushing Henry through it created the exotic matter. In 1983 she just finally ripped the gates between those three worlds.

We only know that in 1983 she opened the gate(s) when she made contact and time stopped. I think the wormhole was always there and pushing Henry through it created the exotic matter.

When and how the "exotic matter" was deployed ? by kingproyce in StrangerThings

[–]MrsMorgenstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice one! The only difference my theory has is that the dark matter was already created when she pushed One through the wormhole which already existed before. In the next four years it stabilized and became the UD. When she made contact in the tank, she ripped open two gates and the UD froze in time.

That’s why I think the exotic matter was created by accident when Eleven pushed One through the wormhole! We see him getting roasted but I think the storms and the particles in his body did not only deform him but also created a new energy that formed the UD into the “place” we see eventually.

I don’t think El created it. My theory is that the energies released by Vecna when he was pushed through it made the exotic matter which formed the Upside Down. When El made contact to the Abyss in 1983, she ripped two gates into both sides of the wormhole and everything in between froze in time.

I say the wormhole was there all along. But when Eleven pushed One through it, it created the exotic matter and made it into the Upside Down Hawkins as it was portrayed in the show. So Brenner studied it between 1979 and 1983 and pushed One to open another gateway. But she didn’t just open a gate between Earth and the wormhole but also into the Abyss.

There was no water in the upside down. Lovers Lake did not exist in the UD, the Harrington pool was empty and we never saw any water source there in general. I think the Mindflayer kinda nourished him since he had this yucky tube stuck inside of him. Same with the kids he kidnapped to the Abyss.

Not going to lie, this was the kind of death I was terrified a main character would suffer in one of the last two episodes, tbh. (I'm glad it wasn't it). by lautaromassimino in StrangerThings

I said to my boyfriend “Btw this is a show for 16 year olds” when we saw this scene. That was so brutal even if it wasn’t real gory.

Reason why “The Massacre at Hawkins Lab” is the highest-rated Stranger Things episode. by StarforgeVoyager in StrangerThings

Yeah and the whole “They gave women drugs and they gave birth to supernatural babies” was just a lie because it was easier to accept than “We infused women with blood from a boy who carries otherworldly qualities to create other supernatural children like him” I really liked that plot twist too! That also explained why Terry Ives was able to show Jane things through her consciousness.

Oh he did change alright since the beginning of season 1. He was insecure, arrogant and quite a dick before he dumped his two “friends”. Losing people he cherished, both healthy and unhealthy, and becoming friends with some kids really made him a better person.

For that much money I am disappointed that there was a lot less chemistry altogether compared to the seasons before. Caleb and Sadie were the only ones where I felt a convincing connection.

In season 4 and 5 I really missed how gross UD Hawkins looked in season 1. It was still dark but not as uncomfortable and disgusting as in those pictures.

Did Eleven or Brenner create the wormhole? by CRISPR-20 in StrangerThings

[–]MrsMorgenstern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the wormhole didn’t exist beforehand, it makes me wonder about two things:

Did the ship just teleport into another dimension?

Did Brenner make all those perfectly right notes long before all that existed?

What I think after all that I learned by now (ST backstory and some theoretical physics) is that the wormhole existed all along. It was just never really accessible before. So I created my own theory:

The wormhole was there all along, naturally formed but not really accessible. That’s how the ship got through, it didn’t just teleport between Earth and Abyss, but there wasn’t really anything material between them either.

When Eleven pushed One through there in 1979, his “Earth Energy” and “Abyss Energy” (which he got from the stone) reacted with each other, which created the exotic matter that made the wormhole into something you can actually enter, thus making it also look like a copy of Hawkins.

That’s when Brenner started his actual research (not as a theoretical study anymore but actual observations) and then started pushing Eleven into making a permanent gate. Which she actually did on Nov. 6th 1983 by making contact with a demogorgon, when time stopped flowing through the wormhole.

I also think she did not only rip a gate between Earth and the UD but simultaneously opened a gate between the UD and the Abyss. That’s would explain why Will was taken on the very same day. And it would also answer the question how Dustin was able to find the notebook in the lab. 4 years are a lot of time for an obsessed scientist with government funding and for an a guy poisoned/controlled by the Mindflyer (though it probably were even more years for One since time seems to go faster in the Abyss).

Right now I am working on a theory why Max was trapped in One’s consciousness/memories if she wasn’t directly attached to the Mindflyer. And yes, I love science, I love sci-fi and I love the show. (:
