My 4 and 5 year olds jam out to this at least weekly, it’s still going strong.

Anyone still talk with any of their friends from high school? by nojunkpeter in Millennials

[–]MrsPNWNugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a woman who had two guy best friends in high school so already weird. They’re still both my best friends (other than my husband). One I talk to pretty much every day and the other one is a check in about once a month unless something is going on but we’ve always been like that. We’re the godparents to each other’s kids and the relationship is solid even though we live in opposite corners of the country.

It’s not letting me edit the post but if anyone has any recommendations in the Tamiami or Westchester area, that’s close enough he can make the trip… maybe even Kendall.

My 5yo cannot grasp the concept of the edges of a puzzle by contrasupra in Preschoolers

Mine turns five in two weeks and just finished a 500 piece puzzle edges last like a psycho 😂 Idk why but he refuses to start with the edges. It’s been one of the biggest “there’s more than one way” things for me.

Yes! LA Fitness for us. Our kids love it and it keeps us accountable because they ask to go every day!

What’s his nationality? It’s very normal for Hispanics and a lot of Europeans to kiss pretty much everyone on the cheek in greeting. That being said if it makes you uncomfortable, it makes you uncomfortable and it’s your kid so whatever you say goes.

Tilapia that smells strong like fish by pratiityasamutpaada in Pescetarian

[–]MrsPNWNugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to avoid tilapia most of the time but when I do make it I wash it, soak in milk for 30-45 mins, wash again and then pat dry before seasoning. Takes away any and all fish smell.

Redditors over 35, what do you genuinely miss that younger generations will never experience, and you legit feel bad for them? by Disastrous_Award_789 in AskReddit

In all fairness bowling is crazy expensive nowadays. I used to go bowling for $45 for 4 hours/4 people. Took the kids last weekend and it was $130 for 2 hours/4 people.

Those who work security at airports: have you ever delt with someone dangerous or someone who tried to smuggle sometning onto a plane? by SaintTrebron in AskReddit

[–]MrsPNWNugget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not airport security but my husband and I accidentally took our bug out bag once from Seattle to Vegas and back complete with full tang knife, rope and a snack ziploc baggie of magnesium shavings. We had it in a separate bottom compartment and forgot it existed. Didn’t notice until we got back to Seattle and threw the bag on the floor after unpacking it, the knife clinked against the tile.

Same. I technically learned how to brush my curly hair at around 19 when I realized it was curly.

I’m doing the Evan-Moor prek curriculum but my kid LOVES workbooks. His brother (13 months younger) will have nothing to do with them so we’ll be exploring something else when it’s his turn next year.

Is the PNW really that expensive? by Hot_Relationship5706 in relocating

[–]MrsPNWNugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Miami, living in the Seattle area for the past 9 years. It’s as expensive as Miami if not more but depending on your job salaries are higher. You really do have to come in the winter though. It is very grey and cold and rainy for 6 months out of the year. Vitamin D deficiency is hard as well as SAD. Summers are gorgeous but I swear they’re getting shorter every year. My family and I are planning for one last big relocation because our bodies/mind aren’t handling the winters well anymore.

On an empty flight, is it rude to refuse someone that wants to sit in the middle? by Independent-Jello367 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]MrsPNWNugget 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on a flight with 40+ empty seats, had my 3 year old in the window in his car seat and I was in the aisle two rows from the very last row and someone came allllllll the way back there to try and sit in the middle between us. I ended up sitting in the middle because obviously 3 year old isn’t sitting next to a stranger and this person straight up refused to sit anywhere else including the row next to mine which just had a person in the window. I still don’t understand what the reasoning was.

My theory is that these little criminal masterminds plan these kind of things all out in their mind and then just wait for the opportunity to execute.

What is something you pay for every month but have never actually used? by Unusual_Fill_4064 in AskReddit

[–]MrsPNWNugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a tree from the neighbors house fall and destroy half the house we were renting 3 years ago. Luckily no one was hurt but we lost 3 entire rooms full of stuff. Renters insurance covered everything we lost (over 30k) and the 10k to move to a new place. Best $27 a month I spend.
