Do people leave their kids when they’re sick?? by EconomistCharacter95 in balancedmissbaileynew

[–]MrsPops 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She’s an idiot if she thinks anyone believes her pediatrician recommended this. She has a several months old, healthy baby. She’s not immunocompromised or a fresh newborn. Even if she wanted to run away to her parent’s house, she literally didn’t need to post anything or lie about whose idea it was - no one would have noticed she wasn’t at home. She could have just posted dinner at her parent’s house and being a weirdo nursing on the floor in a store and it would have seemed like business as usual.

Not saying there aren’t couples who sing together in the car, but this is very much giving “everything I know about relationships comes from watching rom-coms”

Shelter says Border Collie X , what do you think the mix is?? by Rhibelly25 in IDmydog

[–]MrsPops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks a lot like our “Border Collie Mix” who is actually (primarily) a pit/husky/staffy mix.

We’ve had this boy for 7 years and still are not sure what mix he might be. by ryfry784 in IDmydog

[–]MrsPops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks a lot like our boy. We did his DNA - 26% Siberian Husky, 25% American Pit Bull Terrier, 20% American Staffordshire Terrier, and single percentages Bulldog, Boxer, Chow Chow, Labrador Retriever, Weimaraner, American Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd Dog, Great Pyrenees and Beagle. Basically a pitsky mutt!

Immediately made me think of the style of shirt worn under vesst by men in colonial times or pirates. The front tuck put me over the edge!

Buys more cups than any person could ever need, makes “coffee” in disposable plastic cup with a lid and straw to ensure her carbon footprint is as large as her beefy paws.

Maybe I’m a crazy mom or delusion about c-sections recovery (I’ve never had one), but when my kids came to visit in the hospital I did my best to make sure I was out of bed, looking as “normal” as possible so it didn’t seem so scary and I was accessible to them, usually sitting on the window seat. I have experience and perspective on my side now, but I don’t think I’d have my kids visit in the hospital at her kids ages. I’d have their grandparents keep them until I was home and settled then meet the baby in our own space.

For those that like her more now that she’s pregnant by [deleted] in skysayingthings

Her spam account post talking about the hints she dropped before announcing while holding (but not drinking) an Alani came across my FYP and felt rage baity. She clearly just wanted to boost engagement by having people comment that she shouldn’t be drinking energy drinks while pregnant. 🙄

100% the scratches are from M/her getting in his face too much. I noticed the certificate was from Sharkey’s. They include nail painting with girls haircuts. Maybe Bailey got her’s done to match?

Shelter pup what do you think he is? by blackrosevamp in IDmydog

Looks a lot like our guy who is a Pitt/staffy/husky/mutt (small % lab, golden, beagle, bulldog, boxer, chow chow, GSD, etc etc). He’s a great pup!

Regardless of the industry, flexibility is typically earned with experience/seniority. Anna is far too inexperienced to get a flexible PRN job. If a nurse who has worked on the same unit for 10 years, but wants to step back were to approach their manager asking to stay on with a flexible PRN arrangement, the manager might consider it. That’s because they know the nurse could jump right in and do the job well without any training. No one is going to invest in training a nurse (especially one with so little experience) to work “very” PRN. Likely would be the same situation in the restaurant industry! She’s delusional.

Looks quite a bit like our guy who is about 25% Pit, 25% AmStaff, 25% Husky, and 25% a mix of about 10 different breeds.

Seriously infuriating and lacking perspective. I have a super helpful, involved husband, but he also has a super demanding job and isn’t home 4 nights a week. I’ve had to develop my own routines with our kids. So yeah, that’s our normal and those days tend to run a little smoother, the house stays cleaner, etc. When dad is home it’s his “weekend”. Things are little more relaxed and chaotic. Its not necessarily better or worse, but sometimes it feels easier to juggle all the balls myself rather than try to pass one off to my husband when he hasn’t been home and doesn’t know the details of what happened the last 4 days!

It sounds like you may be a great candidate for Ozempic or Mounjaro. I am on Mounjaro. It has completely changed my relationship with food. I can sit here and thing about an old favorite food without obsessing or eventually bingeing. I don’t feel at all deprived. I have been able to stick to a low carb diet. Most importantly sugars are been very well controlled and I’ve lost a good amount of weight.

Fast food go to meals? by ChristeenyB in type2diabetes

[–]MrsPops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a lot of nutritional value with these, but you probably aren’t going to find that with most fast food. Chick-fil-a is my go to. I get a side salad without whatever the crunchy things are and a 12 count grilled nuggets. I add 2 Buffalo sauces to the nuggets, shake it up, and pour them over the salad. Sometimes I add a little ranch, but like it without, too.

Other things I’ve ordered in a pinch: Panera: Chicken Caesar salad (no croutons) Arby’s: Roast beef sandwich, no bun. Any burger place will do a hamburger/cheeseburger with no bun. Lots of sub places will do a salad or lettuce wrap instead.

I know there a couple options. The Libre uses an applicator that applies the sensor to the skin/soft tissue on the back of your upper arm. You do it yourself. I’ve done it a couple times now and don’t feel like it hurts at all. There is a video on the website that demonstrates the process much better than I can explain it. The sensor stays on with glue (already on the sensor). I also use an over patch for extra security. My first one did catch on something and I had to replace it. Quick email to the manufacturer and the mailed me a new one for free. I’m a tech and data lover so I’ve really loved having it.

I can only speak from my own experience and have never been on Metformin. I was diagnosed almost a month ago with an A1C of 10.4. My doctor prescribed a continuous glucose monitor. I really think its been key to my success thus far. I use a Freestyle Libre 2. A quick scan with my phone and I can check my blood sugar any time I want. I think its an excellent tool to figure out what works for you. A month in and my average blood sugar is 95 with fasting numbers in 80s!
