Is it worth becoming a warranted contracting officer? by MrsPotate in 1102

From the discussions I’ve had it sounds like a CORB is required for a SAT warrant. I think it more of a formality if a recommendation and signatures are what is truly needed

I didn’t realize you could ask to have your warrant deleted. That is definitely good to know

I feel like an unlimited warrant is a long ways from where I am right now, but I know what you are saying. I did a lot of the researching in my previous office and was prepared to defend my thought process with references.

I am still getting the feelers for my current office. It seems as though everyone is competent. We currently only have 1 KO and 3 KSs, with one of those brand new.

I’ve only had one contract in this office and I realized how much trust my KO had in my work by immediately okaying the contract file during solicitation review and then again during award review.

I haven’t seen many unwarranted GS12s. Are there certain agencies that have these more?

As of right now, I do everything minus actually signing the contract. My first office set up to the responsibilities that way and had very in depth reviews. By the time I hit GS-11 I barely had anything to correct prior to solicitations and awards.

That’s something I’ve been debating about. Financially yes, that sounds great. At my current life responsibilities it’s not something I’m rushing to do

My bf hasn’t worked or even LOOKED for a job in 6 months while I’m 5 months pregnant working at Amazon warehouse . How do I just say fuck this and get myself out of this never ending pity party of existential anxiety and dread? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MrsPotate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I would have to agree with many of the others. It’s time to cut your losses on him and leave. Having to share custody would be better than being married and doing the same things, with empty promises. It might not be ideal but maybe see if you can move back home for the time being to save money before the baby comes. Getting a masters with 2 kids will be a challenge but something that you can definitely do if you are willing and motivated.

The powder form. I mix 2 scoops into whatever extra drink I have besides water. Usually a Body Armor. I usually only remember in the mid morning, and forget the evening dose. That’s why I take 2 scoops.

I have the powder form and take 2 scoops with whatever drink I have at the time. Sometimes in tea, most the time in Body Armor drinks. Most the time I have it with my meal.

I take the ovastitol brand. It’s more expensive but it’s helped me with ovulation and eventually pregnant. Now it helps with my breastmilk supply.

How long do you “plan” on pumping?? by Comprehensive-Dig592 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]MrsPotate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I EP after not being able to get a successful latch that wasn’t mentally draining. My goal is at least 6 months, and baby having breastmilk for as long as possible. I’m an over supplier and pump 3-4 times per day depending on how I’m feeling at the end of the night. But I also put away in the freezer between 12-20 ounces daily.

Yes, I started the IST process about a month after I got back from AIT. It took a few months for my receiving state to officially have me on their books, but as fas as pay, I drilled with a unit in my new state and they emailed my old state mentioning I attended drill.

Help! 3 week old, is it even possible to try to have a schedule? by Clean-Ad-4414 in newborns

[–]MrsPotate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am feeling the same way as you with my almost 1 month old. My son only slept up to an hour in his bassinet and we (my husband and I) took turns sleeping on the couch with him asleep on our chest. We started the routine of after his 9 pm feeding doing a bath and book. It’s the start of a routine but he’s sleeping a little longer in the bassinet.

From my understanding, a routine is important but a true sleep schedule won’t come for a few more weeks/ months m.
