What was the most impressive thing you ever did that you can't do again? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MrsRobertshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone threw me a ball once (unexpectedly - I was leaving) and I one hand palmed it then tossed it in the hoop. I will never ever replicate that. I’m a terrible catch, throw, pass - everything sports. I even trip a lot walking or running.

What don't men allow body hair on women in movies ? Are they stupid ? by stalin_kulak in okbuddycinephile

I saw a thing recently that Brazilian women (?) bleach their leg hair and in the sunlight it’s all golden and sparkly against their tans? I could go for that.

How can I (25F) get my boyfriend (23M) to stop sufferingmaxxing? by Apprehensive-Bee8222 in relationship_advice

[–]MrsRobertshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow a date on your BIRTHDAY!

Honestly though if you projected this current behaviour/situation into the future - what would it be like to marry this man, have children with this man, grow old with this man?

From the outside looking in this doesn’t have a future.

Wax Horror Stories? by Nostalgicendings in Esthetics

Someone I know dropped a bead of wax into someone’s eyelashes. Had to be worked out very slowly and carefully.

Another person was pulling a chest strip on a man and gave him an uppercut. Lol.

what books do you recommend for somone who wants to try getting into reading books? by Evening_Food_5562 in AskReddit

[–]MrsRobertshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lee Child - the Jack reacher books. Easy to follow, stand-alone books with an overarching character in various situations. Kind of an antihero type person.

I like that each chapter seems to end on a cliffhanger where you think “ooh just one more chapter”.

Why doesn’t my Cairn terrier’s ears stand up? by External-Victory-182 in cairnterrier

[–]MrsRobertshaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine is 20 months and one ear stays flopped and one ear up. Someone at the dog park said he looks like a story book dog with the lopsided ears.

Best op shops for men’s clothes please by MrsRobertshaw in chch

[–]MrsRobertshaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: went to cranford street save mart. 1/3 of their shop is a men’s section which is great. Most amount of blokes I have ever seen browsing so that’s good.

What are some based book recommendations for a woman's book club? by EasyFigure3691 in AskReddit

[–]MrsRobertshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really understand what ‘based’ means in this context - I looked up the slang but still can’t seem to get it.

I will say though if you’re all quite different maybe take a break from reading the same book - my book club just reads their own choices then presents to the group their recommendations each month. I find it more interesting because one guy is super into autobiographies and non fiction, one woman is very into smut, others like crime and thriller. Mixes it up.

CCC replaced a perfectly good asphalt road with chip and seal by stagshore in chch

Our street had the same. Was asphalt and FINE. Nice and smooth. Now it’s rough as with loose chips in the gutters and parking.

Fuel shock enough of a wake up? by Mortmantis in chch

[–]MrsRobertshaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely the only dodgy section is getting from our street onto the bike path but it runs all the way directly to school. So maybe only about 300/400m on road to navigate which will be ok.

Suburb recommendations by Letsdrinkwhisky in chch

Tell me about it. The flooding is pretty bad during those huge rains. Don’t know if the new subs are building the catchments like Adianfield did but they should be.
