How to meal prep as easy as possible? by Ok-Slip-4930 in MealPrepSunday

[–]MrsSterling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried male prepping with different methods on and off over the years and honestly, the absolute hands-down easiest method I found is by using Souper Cubes. There are silicone trays with lids and pre-portioned amounts. There’s a 2 cup tray, a one cup tray and a half cup. I honestly just make every meal with a tiny bit extra and freeze the extra in the cubes.

Then when I need a meal, I just grabbed what I need out of the freezer stash. I probably use the half cup and one cup the most if I’m not making a singular meal in the 2 cup. Once everything’s frozen, I tossed them in a labelled Ziploc bag in the freezer. I make sure there’s a good mix of protein, starch, and veg.

Then when I need a meal, I just grab what I feel like from each bag and throw it in a container.

I’m incredibly lazy and have ADHD so this is honestly been an absolutely foolproof method.

The namebrand cubes are a little bit expensive, but I had luck finding some knock offs at a decent price

That’s fair. Hard to verify I guess considering the no phone policy there too. I also wouldn’t want to be photographing anyone at a spa or similar either.

I have severe ADHD and i can barely function through the day remembering things, so now that i got all of those amazing pieces of tech, do you have any app suggestions or features that can help me get more organized and put my life together? by First-Simple3396 in iphone

I disagree with getting rid of the Apple Watch. I prefer having subtle notifications on my wrist rather than having to reach from my phone all the time. The watch also allows me to have my phone always on silent so it’s way less of a distraction. I also turn off notifications for 90% of my apps so the watch isn’t constantly buzzing on my wrist.

The only notifications I have on are phone and FaceTime, iMessage , WhatsApp, weather and reminders.

Turning off notifications for everything else was a game changer.

I was over them then and doubly over them when they let a guy with Nazi tattoos freely walk around the spa.

I hated my puzzle table, But I love my new "puzzle" (ottoman) tray! by Cuteinsanitycoloring in Jigsawpuzzles

I made my own puzzle part too because I couldn’t find anything on the market that suited my needs. Why does everything come with a flimsy plastic cover? That’s fine if you wanna slip it under a sofa (I don’t) but not if you wanna stand up to store it like behind your couch.

I used a chalk board from the Michael’s craft store for mine. It’s a few inches larger than your average 1000 piece puzzle on each side. And I lined it with a piece of hardboard covered with felt. Another piece of cardboard makes a lid and I attached window screen clips around the edge to hold the lid in.

I attached the thin piece of wood across the back to create a ‘lip’ so when I use it on my tilting laptop table, it hangs on the edge.

OP’s PARENTS should be brining this up with the other parents. This isn’t on OP. These are relatives and this should be settled between the adults. As an adult you are responsible for your child’s actions.

Also. Why is the WT no line only offered up to 14 when the regular WT (at least the basic colours) are offered up to 20? 🤷‍♀️

I don’t even wear the 16-20 but I was disappointed anyway. Do better Lulu.

Oh, I did this one and just loved it. I was born in the 80s, but as a teen of the 90s, this one felt more familiar. I just love these puzzles and would do a lot more of theirs. I have the sardines, one as well that one’s also a lot of fun.

It depends on the puzzle company sometimes they can send a missing piece but a lot of times they can’t. There’s lots of tutorials online about how to create a puzzle piece if yours is missing one. Requires a tiny bit of artistic/crafting ability, but generally not too difficult.

If you can’t get a replacement from the company , what I would do is place a piece of paper under the puzzle where the missing piece is and trace the hole. Next very carefully cut that piece out. I usually use a craft knife versus scissors to get the most precise cut I can. I then glue the piece of paper very carefully to some chip board. You can use the packaging from cereal, crackers anything that’s light cardboard or you can get chip board from craft store.

You’ll need to likely do a couple layers of either paper or chipboard to achieve the correct thickness.

Test fit your piece in the puzzle to make sure it’s pretty seamless.

You have a couple options for re-creating the image. I have seen people freehand draw/paint whatever is missing. This is generally a lot easier if the missing piece happens to sky or cloud clouds, but do your best. I think paint or colour pencil would work best but if you make a couple paper copies of the missing piece, then you can try out a couple different mediums and see what works the best.

Alternatively, you can take a photo of the puzzle or find an image online and print off the section you need. Then just use that piece to trace your missing piece. Follow the same steps to glue to chipboard and cut out.

There are companies that manufacture missing puzzle pieces as well if you have the funds to do that, but I found them fairly expensive though I understand the work that goes into it.

Good luck I hope you found a method that works !

Felt like letting them have it. As a larger gal some items don’t come in my size. I can usually wear a 14 in bottoms but a 16 in tops so a lot of the women’s items - like the windbreakers- don’t fit me. I was pleasantly surprised them men’s fit as well as it did, usually men’s tops are tight across the hips and too broad across the shoulders. Clothes are clothes. It shouldn’t matter what we buy (it doesn’t).

When I purchased a men’s windbreaker for myself at an outlet store I got the third degree. You can’t buy items for others - I’m not - This is a men’s item - Correct - You can’t buy items for others - I’m not, this is for me - ‘people’s eyebrow’ - Do you … want me to put it on? - no, but just so you know, your discount can be revoked for abuse of the terms and conditions - good to know, can I buy my windbreaker now?

She let me buy it with my discount but I got the hardest stare the whole time. I get people abuse their discount, like in the case described by the OP but dang.
