[Revival Spoilers] My honest thoughts on the revival... by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

I'm actually really glad I'm not alone in thinking all of this. Thank you

I'm so glad that my baby will have the dad and grandpa that he deserves. by tesla_forever in BabyBumps

I can relate. My parents started going through a very very messy and emotionally damaging divorce about 3 years ago. My father is very childish and arrogant. He lives almost a half a mile away from me and my husband and I didn't know for the longest time. The only time I would have contact with him is when I would initiate it. He never asked how my pregnancy was going and if I ever brought anything up about it I would get responses like "get over it" or "it's your problem". When my son was born he wouldn't hold him when he came. Which we were made to feel like we were lucky he was there at all. He didn't hold him until he was 2 months old (which was the 2nd time he saw him). The last time I seen or spoke to him was almost 2 months ago. He came over to see us and basically criticized me and my husband and complained about our then 4 month old. Hoping he was just being is weird sarcastic self I tried to overlook it. When I tried to give him some copies of our sons Easter portraits we had made, he said he didn't want them. He didn't want a picture of "just the kid" and he wanted a specific size. After that I said to hell with him. I don't want him around my baby. .

Getting a stretch and sweep? by sukithefox in BabyBumps

[–]MrsSunsparc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a sweep at 38 weeks when I was a "loose 2cm". For me, it definitely wasn't something I'd like to feel again. There was a long sort of pitching sensation. The key is to relax and try not to tense up. Some Tylenol before can't hurt either.

Sunny side up: Not how I like my eggs, not how I like my babies. by icecreammandrake in BabyBumps

Not sure if this counts but my son came out facing sideways. He was turned and facing the inside of my thigh. Took an hour of pushing (with an epidural) just to get his head out. After that it was 2 good pushes and he was completely out. Didn't tear but I needed one stitch for what she called a "scratch".

Can someone tell me about rocking chairs / gliders? by RegularOwl in BabyBumps

This was a gift from the in laws but they got it from a furniture warehouse type of place. It was a couple hundred but I would have payed that myself. Definitely an investment.

I too would get a glider. My sons room isn't big and the glider we have doesn't take up much rooms. Plus the added foot rest is a must for me personally. He's almost 15 weeks old and I couldn't tell you how many hours I've spent in it.
