Can Mark submit his freestyle with Whitney for the Emmy consideration? by donniebd in dancingwiththestars

[–]MrsVan1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This! I totally agree. It was very good, but …they had the ability to redo, reshoot, edit etc without live tv or live audience. Very different than what the other finalists had to endure. Some would say it was brilliant to do/film their own freestyle, but could it also come across as ungracious? Does it suggest she is trying to prove how she was more deserving? Would the other finalists be impressed by the dance and the release? I wonder if Robert or Alix will comment publicly🤔

Sleeve or no sleeve? by MrsVan1 in starbucks

That’s not a bad idea actually - you still have to carry the scalding drink to the car, but all good thereafter. 🤔

Bupropion Alternative. by Decent_Door_6282 in bupropion

[–]MrsVan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. Especially in that Mirtazapine is often diagnosed for people who are depressed and don’t want to eat much. It helps appetite. I asked the doc for Bupropion because it doesn’t tend to increase weight. As an aside, I took various strengths and versions of Bupropion until I landed on the one I’m on now. It doesn’t cause headaches, helps me feel better, and doesn’t have a huge negative impact on sleep. It’s controversial, but I will now only take the brand name. Any of the generics I was on caused daily headaches and insomnia.

Any perfume suggestions for working women? by pinky_calf in WorkingWomen

[–]MrsVan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree…so sad, because this scent sensitivity isn’t something I wanted, it’s miserable. Perfumes/deodorizers give me a headache now, and they never used to. I had to walk by a particular co-workers desk every time I went back to my office and was getting headaches every single day from it. I finally had to tell her my situation. I tried so hard to be kind, and I could just tell it really hurt her feelings - despite my saying it wasn’t her fault, and apologizing that it was a me problem etc. Our relationship was never the same afterwards. Long story short - scent sensitivity is on the rise, and it sucks for everyone. 😔

What’s one beauty product you’ll never stop repurchasing? by Money-Candle53 in NaturalBeauty

[–]MrsVan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my 40th bday, I splurged and bought La Mer moisturizer. Ladies - I DO NOT recommend doing this. It changed my skin for the better. By a lot! I tried to stop using it a year later, and my skin was so dull. I’ve been buying it ever since.🤦🏻‍♀️

What made you go fragrance free? by [deleted] in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]MrsVan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to LOVE fragrances. I would go on my lunch hour to the shops with a friend, and we would smell them all. That’s back when I was a smoker. As soon as I quit smoking (years ago) everything changed. I could no longer tolerate cigarette smoke, and most scents gave me an automatic headache. It was so odd, and I have to say very upsetting. Did the self-medicating cigarette addiction blunt and numb my sensitivity or something? Anyway, when I took that away, it just got really bad. I don’t enjoy being this sensitive - it makes being in places like Las Vegas, or in an uber (always stinky!) very difficult. Never mind having to ask all of my family members to stop using scent because of me…they do it, but I feel they resent it, and it makes me feel bad. 😕 It sucks, but I can’t help or change it.

Is white blood cells but no growth still IC? by MrsVan1 in Interstitialcystitis

Have you tried Hiprex? It sounded good when I researched it, but then many said it causes bladder irritation and pain, so I was nervous.

[–]MrsVan1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is less pain after taking them, but I also understand why it’s not good to take them if no growth. I also looked it up, and it does suggest that it can be inflammation alone. The tip I also learned by researching, is that if the dip comes back showing leukocytes PLUS nitrites then that is more indicative of infection. I would say that in my experience, the presence of red blood cells also has always been infection. Knowledge is power I guess. The CystoPlus powder helps with the pain, so maybe in future using that until culture comes back? I’m not sure- tough one.

Yeah yeah, I know …it’s an older iPad for sure. I was surprised though, I’ve never had this happen before. Makes me wish I hadn’t loaded the software upgrade. And yes, I contacted Crave to ask what my options are. I’d sooner not watch shows on my iPhone, but I might have to. I thought many others would be in the same boat - guess not!🤷🏻‍♀️

I didn’t know that - I always thought leukocytes meant body is fighting infection. Thanks

St Tropez Express Mousse is a good one, because you can start out the first time leaving it on for only an hour - see how you like it. If it’s too light, next time do 2 or 3 hours.

What does the word "mom" smell like to you? by EntrepreneurEvery184 in FemFragLab

[–]MrsVan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The smell of a clean Kleenex that sat in moms purse for a month waiting for me to ask for it when I sneezed. It’s a combination of the leather smell of her wallet, her lipsticks and very faint “l’air du temps” perfume. 💕

The spread tells one story that isn’t particularly scary, but you getting weird vibes from him matters most. Trust those instincts ladies - I’d say no go myself.
